Haha, this is probably kind of silly but in the past I really enjoyed "pound surfing" in the Adopt R Us for new pets to adopt, but after taking a long (almost a year) break, I've noticed recently that there are significantly less pets being housed (perhaps 100s less).
Has there been a type of update on the pound where they frequently clear out pets? Or have I just hopped back on Subeta at the wrong time, haha?
Not complaining at all, just curious!!(: Thank-you!
The pet limit was raised for regular accounts some time ago, and we're now getting more pet slots through site events, etc. Now that a lot of more people have room for a lot more pets, there are a lot fewer in the pound now!
The last new pet slot award came only a couple of weeks ago so it's particularly noticeable at the moment.
Also, I think the pound was cleared completely maybe a couple of years ago? I don't remember when that happened, exactly. Pound clearing isn't a usual thing at all.
Oh, that's actually quite nice to hear that so many pets are being rehomed, haha! I was afraid there was some type of automated clearing process every couple months or so, because I had remembered the pound to have hundreds and hundreds of pets!
Thanks for the info!:)
I know this was kind of answered... yes they increased the number of pet slots everyone could have and encouraged people to adopt from the adopt-r-us (was some news posts even). The staff even changed the ones that stayed in there for a long time, into more rare colors/experiments just to help get them adopted.
