My name is Trigg and I played on Subeta a long, long time ago and recently was lead back here :) I usually play on Neopets but I've been pretty fed up with them lately and absolutely love how laid back it is here, as well as the responsiveness of the mods! They seem like they actually care..

As for me, I am a casual player who is looking to make lots of sP, have cool pets, and.... what else?! That's where I need your help! I'm wondering what kind of awesome things to do there are around here besides chat on the forums, do quests, collect pets and customize your avatar? I've seen a few games and the pet zapper but I'm looking for some advice! Anyone know of any good dailies pages?

Hi there, and welcome back. This thread should help you with pretty much everything there is to do, including dailies.

I highly recommend getting into battling as a way to pass time, as with autotraining and just doing battle quests you can quickly advance through the early tiers inside of a couple of months. An updated battle guide can be found here.

If you want more direct advice on dailies that aren't typical games and such, the Bathhouse Pools allow you to earn CSC and other rare currencies on x-many successive visits, but in-between you'll mostly get assorted plain items. Just don't skip it and make sure you visit every day.

The Ruffie Raffle allows you to get one of the pet dolls that you can then send to your wardrobe.

You can try the Crypts and the Ice Fields once per hour.

Unrelated to dailies, if you haven't found it already, all of the site-wide currencies can now be found on one easy to access page.

If you need to look up stuff, offsite I recommend SubetaLodge. You can find items and pets/colors lists and such.

SubetaLodge totally showed me all the different types of pets.. I had no idea what the options were for the zapper! I also unfortunately made a mistake before I fully understood :(

in my DND game, I have a mechanical wolf named Gadget and the minute I saw the Steamwork Telenine I knew I NEEDED IT! However I thought I could get it through the zapper, so I created myself Gadget. and zapped him... Yikes. I understand now I need the schematic and the key you have to make to create one, but my new question is am I able to get Gadget. back to a telenine or is that over for him? I'm not sure how to find out besides asking here, haha!

The Steamwork Telenine is quite the impressive creature. You can turn any pet back into a non-zapper related species through elixirs, in your case Telenine elixirs. I'm sending you a gift that should help, though unfortunately no one is selling one of the items you need right now, so you'll need to purchase it directly from the shop when you have the chance.

Why are you so kind?! Thank you so much!! Good ole Gadget. is going back to a Telenine today :) I'm sure he will be very happy! I don't think zapping life is for him, although I am intrigued by what you can get with the zapper... in any form is amazing :D:D

Zapping is an easy and cheap way to get some of the regular pet species and pet colors that might be a bit expensive otherwise, and if you're willing to take the risk it has a chance of boosting your pet's stats a little, too. And now that the option for a guaranteed zapper-species has been added at a sharper cost I use it more often than I used to, as I tend to collect zapper pets in my new pet slots. Come October and the Morostide holiday on here you'll also be able to zap your HA to unlock the different skins. Just be certain you don't have anything valuable in your inventory when you try zapping on the chance that it does target your items. If it isn't locked(by the little gold icon underneath) try moving it to your vault or a shop/gallery.

What do you think about the present event to turn a zapper pet into an official regular pet? Any of the five you're rooting for?

It's not rude at all, don't worry about that haha. Mostly I invest in battling, as its something I've been doing since I finished filling out my plushie collection for the rainbow trophy an age and a half ago. My overarching goal now that I've 10/10'd all but one opponent out of the default and of the unlocked challengers I have is to finish boosting my main battle-pet, Kilroy, to 35k stats and get him into the top 10 pets site-wide.

Outside of that I do play some of the games around here like Matlal's Jewels, Spectrail, Caliph's Tomb, and recently Burrero Basket Bonanza. And I collect a lot of stuff for my wardrobe, I enjoy building new HA's for regular use and for contests in the Avatar subforum for that kind of thing. User funvee runs a semi-regular contest, with the next due next Monday from she's told me. If you need any help figuring out the wardrobe settings let me know.

Glad you are getting VERY extensive help for your questions.

I mostly quest (Saggitarius, Wizard, Quentin, and Drunk Carl are my favs). I sell the majority of what I get. Which is how I earn the majority of my sP.

I'm trying to focus a little more on getting my pets worked on. Just have sort of stalled on that front for over a year O.o

I absolutely understand where you're coming from. Prior to Subeta, I spent years on Neopets. Once they started focusing on making money rather than introducing updates and making it fun for the users, I knew it was my time to go. Luckily Subeta is just the place to be!

For the most part I quest and sell, like RinKaari said. I also try to work on filling my collections; as of now I mostly focus on my wardrobe, plushies, beanbags, and stickers. You could always try to kill two birds with one stone and fill up some achievements in the meantime! :)
