So Youtube has put out a Gay Pride channel in honor of Gay Pride Month and everything that the LBGT community is brave enough to put up with. The problem is that the videos on this channel, especially the first one, have received a lot of hate. It looks like someone posted the link to a right wing extremist group and now the channel is being bombarded with down votes and nasty comments. Currently the down votes are outweighing the up votes by a landslide and unfortunately that has left a lot of hateful people thinking that their opinions are "normal and validated".

If some of you guys could drop by and give a thumbs up or a positive message, that would be appreciated. Thanks^^;

I don't think that these people should think that their hate is justified.

That's some quality comments, damn. 2k17 and still wondering when this kind of hate will stop.

"Tired of getting this shoved down my throat" Well, I'm tired of the hetero normative sticker shoved down MY throat.

The video isn't in the spotlight anymore, but I wanted to thank everyone that came and left a nice message or a like. Before I posted this here, there were three times as many dislikes as likes and there were only hate comments. Thanks for helping to turn that around.

It won't let me 'thumbs up' unless I sign in and I don't have an account. I really wish people would stop the hate though. Why can't we just let people be? There are so many things to fight for and against in this world; why are people fighting over others' right to love? It's not fair. It's really sad. It especially makes it hard on people who are unsure of where they stand in the whole sexuality thing. I'm pretty sure I'm bi, but I see so many comments about how bi isn't 'real' or how if I'm bi, I should be pan because being bi is hateful to trans people...and I don't hate trans people, I'm just not into them as a potential partner (which apparently makes me evil).

Not even going to look because I've had enough of regressives. The fact that those people think they're in the right boggles my mind. Some issues are completely black and white and when it comes to human rights things are black and white. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect. However, if someone is determined to show no respect to others then why should they receive any? That's how I feel with regressives.

I've had hate directed at me because I'm gay. The thing is, when I respond to it and tell them off I get people ganging up on me and saying I'm rude, rocking the boat, etc. Because most people are cowards. Fuck their comfort! Sometimes it's great to make people uncomfortable when they're only uncomfortable because they don't want their nice little bubble to be popped so they have to face the real world. That's regressives. They go on about people wanting "safe spaces" when really regressives want the world to be their "safe space" where they can treat everyone who isn't like them like shit. So no, fuck that.

I've also seen people whining about corporations supporting pride and how they're only doing it for advertising. I couldn't care less tbh because at least more people are showing support which will change public opinion. Eventually. Maybe only when some people die of old age.

I will love you forever if you trade me:

Like given! Youtube is really the worst place in the comment section like Hanzo said. Everyone knows that. ;_; I am sorry to hear that it bothers someone as it bothers me. I am easyly saddened by such things. But think about it: These people have nothing but their hate. They have no outlet in the real worls. and honestly... Some people lack emotional intelligence and can't look themselves in the mirror. Sending good vibes to you dear. <3

Ahahaha Mouse, you rock. I Iove your comment so much especially this part. :) I don't blame you for skipping the comments. It's probably better if you don't read them, but what I found amusing about the comments by conservatives is that they think that they stand for "freedom of speech", but their overall message is "Shut up and sit down gays! You're not allowed to remind us that you exist! We can't handle the fact that you exist. Please shut up. Please."

Personally I think that it's always important to stand up to people who bully others, or yourself, 100 percent of the time even in times where you feel tired or don't feel like starting something. If you don't stand up to them, you're sending them a message that what their doing is acceptable and that nobody opposes them. If they get that message over and over then they feel validated and they have no right to feel validated. Some people are thick and you have slowly chip away at them by standing up for yourself.

Words always carry more weight than people think they do. If you ever feel weak or powerless, know that your words can still pack a punch. Absolutely everyone has the right to stand up for themselves in every situation. By not standing up for yourself, you can only get taken advantage of.

Omfg YES conservatives both make me mad and make me laugh because they are just so RIDICULOUS about things like this. I'm glad that the area I live in is more liberal but I've still had to listen to older folks (and a few young ones) whine about how, "Everything is so PC these days! It's stupid! You can't say anything! Everyone is so sensitive!" then they launch into a rant about "the gays" (plus slurs for gay and trans people ofc), women, PoC, etc. I just... I don't understand how people can lack so much self-awareness lol I mean they go straight from complaining about everyone being "too sensitive" then they get apoplectic at the mere thought of gay people existing.

I definitely think people need to drop the politeness bs for a bit and stand up to bigots but everyone should be careful about when and where they stand up for themselves, as well as who they are with. Some situations are too dangerous, unfortunately, because of course conservatives just hate everyone who isn't like them and they can get violent about it or even more verbally abusive.

We're probably going to get someone mad at us for blaming conservatives but that's literally who's to blame and I'm done with people who say they're a "good conservative" who cares about other people's rights but when you align yourself with parties that deny people rights and practice trickle-down economics you're just as bad as the people doing that stuff ffs. Like I've had older people tell me that they're voting for a conservative party because they agree with their economic beliefs (though conservative economics are messed up too) but not their social beliefs. They also like to tell me, a lesbian, to vote based on economics not "social stuff." Yeah lemme just get right on voting for a party that thinks I shouldn't exist. That's super smart. Also obviously I don't agree with conservatives on economics either sooo...

Gave it a like! I'd seen this speech on FB when it first went up, and I thought it was inspirational. All the hate is awful, and I hope we can move past it one day. I think at this point, the comments would be better to be turned off since it's mostly hate and spam. :/ I know that's sort of counterproductive in some ways, but they're TRYING to get it to get 300k+ dislikes and just posting crappy stuff.
