Item Hunt just screwed me big time

I am starting at lvl 71 today (so I get about 200k for each item)... and the costs of my items were:
800k 1.2MILLION 400l 300k 400k
I am hurting so bad after that :( I do not want to drop out of the quest line because I want to at least once hit lvl 100, but omfg that was a screw job if there ever was one!

It's going to get more expensive. I spent 100s of millions on it before finally beating it. Many other players have, too. Though it is significantly easier to beat than it used to be.
well then it might be time to tap out for now... I just dont have 100s of millions at this baby point :/ thank you for the warning!

Chase will ask for cash shop items, items from the millionaire center, and even items not in the shop search toward the later levels.

He killed me with the Martinez briefcase once (It was an old plot prize, for battling, top 25 battlers for the whole site). I also spent hundreds of millions to make it to 100. =0P When you do decide to go for it, you should join IHH and IHHBargain on the Forum group page as this makes it easier to find deals/unusual items for it. Also, try to do quests at peak times of people on, which again improves chance of finding a seller at a higher level. Either way, I wish you luck! There is nothing more obnoxious on here than that dratted blue bunny. XD
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
twice i got to the 90's and so close and then i got asked for a item worth 25 million so.. i decided to buy it and the next item wasn't even available in any shops -_- just my luck :P

Oh god I got so high the last time I tried to get to 100 then I was asked for a super expensive item (~9 mil I think?... although I keep thinking it was 19 mil but I don't want to believe I threw that much away) which I stupidly bought and the very next level he asked me for an item that wasn't available in user shops or on the trading post. -_- I hate that damn rabbit. I've been too depressed to try again lol
I once got to level 91. Had to quit, because Chase asked for a Cash Shop item that was no longer in the Cash Shop, and the cheapest one in user shops was like.... 60m, IIRC?
I'm lucky to get past level 50 now before he asks for something ridiculous. Last week, I got to ~25 or so, and then he asked for one of the brand new Eddie Bell pieces. Eff that.
