Okay, so this is where we should post our questions, planning, etc. for the mystery.
What do you guys think happened? Who is the murderer (or who do we intend to claim he or she is)?

"Was the wooden leg named Smith?" Max joked, knowing the reference might fly over everyone's head (~Mary Poppins)
I'll jut leave that here for now and just add it to the RP later. I'm going to go try and get us going on that now and going to back up a little, time wise, so we can get used to each other.
Also, the Baron with the wooden leg, on the balcony......me thinks...
Trying to catch up the last 5 years
Hmmm... That would actually make sense... They couldn't find a weapon, and who would have thought to confiscate the Baron's wooden leg? And after all, if he could take the steps two at a time, that has to be a stinking solid leg...
Edit: Oh, and duh... The Baron was once attacked in the woods, too, so he's probably a werewolf, which would explain the additional injuries to go along... He wolfed out and attacked the prime minister, and then bludgeoned him, maybe to prevent him revealing that the Baron is a wolf, or to prevent him from becoming a wolf himself later on, OR for political reasons...

Edit: Pinging all of because this might be a problem if we've been writing the introduction RP when the team is technically somewhere else following GreenRowan's post?
I've only just gotten caught up and read the topic by GreenRowan and the RP topic.
From what I have gathered for this challenge, I think when it starts we are now already leaving the Gearwork Goose to board the ship, not the Wayward Squirrel? I'm assuming we left the Squirrel in the story post Greenrowan made where it was mentioned that we went through a corridor that transported us. I'm just confused because right now it seems the roleplay currently has been everyone meeting which would have taken place before the hink pink challenge? I am also not sure if when we board the ship we're actually supposed to reach the destination yet or just discuss everything while on board? So far this seems more like an introduction RP like some of the others had posted before challenge one.
Yeah, we started here, because this is the part of the roleplay everyone else wrote as part of the last challenge... But so far, only a few of us have posted on the roleplay, so we have yet to get to the challenge part! But since no one else has posted much yet, I might fast forward us a bit...
In that context... , I know that normally "godding" is highly banned, and so we are not allowed to write anything involving players who aren't posting. If you know you won't be on very often, however, it might be useful if you gave us permission to post for some of your characters. If you are okay with us using your character (in as minimal a way as possible) when you are not online, please let us know here. If you are expecting to be on very little, this may be the only way we could manage to complete certain event entries...

Ahh, I hadn't seen that this was before the current challenge was posted due to my inactivity... I'm wondering then if we should be skipping the introductions then and writing as we are boarding the ship? Or keeping them as a separate snippet at the beginning, or..? This is a bit of a pickle...
It's really concerning that half of our team members have not been very active... I don't know if we should be bringing this up with GreenRowan herself or not? As it is I'm feeling pretty reluctant to, well, be a reluctant seeing as some of the non-reluctants are more inactive than I am? ._. Reading through everything this morning has me really overwhelmed...
Yeah, you're right, and I made an executive decision to fastforward the story a bit, so that we're now starting on the current challenge... It may not exactly follow role-playing rules, but we need to get a move on.
I have brought up that some members of our group aren't very active, and GreenRowan did mention we could decide to label some people as reluctants, or even boot people from the team if they are inactive. I'm going to bring it up with her again, to see just how much leniency we can take advantage of on this challenge...

Oh, and also, , I believe it is meant to only cover our time spent on the ship. We are discussing the situation and our solution to the mystery ONLY. After all, Lucien commented that we already have all of the information we need to solve the mystery.

I know that Greenrowan said a member needs a good reason to be a reluctant... I think our team is going to suffer if we end up with three or four members with reluctant status. As for the RP I'm not sure if a missing member means we should play god for them or just pretend they're there but not saying anything or just write without them?
As captain I feel you have the right to make any tweaks and adjustments to the RP story. :) In my previous team our captain would take everything we wrote and cut and paste it together into something cohesive, even changing the order a bit to make more sense.
Reading through your newest post there and I will try to post my character interacting after I've napped... I'll have them show up late to the party just before the ship takes off to explain why they weren't there before. I think all we need to do on the ship now is have everyone relaxing in the lounge and discussing the murder and other events and we can have the characters come up with a conclusion to the murder? I hope I'm making some sense... starting to get really tired now. 😅
Yeah, I asked GreenRowan what we should do about those, and am waiting for a reply. And, so that people don't have to read through the original posts, I have done exactly what you said, and have taken everything posted thus far and edited it into a cohesive story, which is in the first post of the board. (I actually just rearranged all of that, did some editing and fiddling with the post itself, and hopefully that is all a bit easier to look at if someone has just logged on...)
And yes, if you'd like to include a bit of introduction before they board the ship, feel free, and I'll tuck it into the text wherever is most appropriate. :)
But yes, according to my last post in the roleplay, we are all now sitting in our "personal lounge", ready to relax and discuss everything. :)

I'm fine with a little fast forwarding. Sorry for late reply, I got hung up at work. I've got the next 2 days off, So I'll be floating around :3
Trying to catch up the last 5 years
Sounds good! I'm hoping to see that lots of roleplaying has happened by the time I get up in the morning... :O Or at least that someone has posted, so I have something to reply to... :P

Oh dear, you're right... The only reference to wolves specifically so far has been the prequel... And in the title of WS5...
From the prequel:

Good catch about the wolves. Maybe while our characters are discussing what has happened they could suggest it was a wild animal just in general? sorry I'm much later than I meant to be. I'll work on a post of my character in the lounge first and if I find time for an intro I'll do that later... right now I'm more worried about where we are now if that makes any sense.
I've only now just seen that there's been a bit of roleplaying since I was last on. gonna catch up and work in my post now. :)
# Haha! Some had mentioned it still occasionally not getting through to them...
So, I was thinking, as I typed away trying to get some more rp in.... Yes, the obvious choice (and most likely choice) would be the Baron. Who has a wooden leg, a history of being attacked in the woods, etc. But what if it wasn't? I may be reaching. (And possibly tricked one too many times, so I can overthink things occasionally.) But what if it was the the chief of police? He was the first on the scene. The secret police had warned the prime minister. Also, "all tradesmen and decorated had to submit to body search". What about the staff? aka the chief?
OR OR OR What if it was BOTH?!
^_^" Forgive me, it's late here and my mind gets a bit funny sometimes....
Seriously, what if the Baron and chief of police worked together? (Not on purpose) Like if the Baron clubbed the prime minister over the head and left him for dead. Then the chief came along, and assuming he is one of the ones affected by the malady; whatever the sorcerers were using to control it wore off and the sight/ smell of such a tragic scene (which I guess might not make sense being chief of police..) caused him to attack the already dead body.
I'm kinda leaning more towards it just being Either the Baron OR the Chief. But I wanted to take a closer look at the fact that being first on the scene, he was there soon enough that "his royal blood" was still "dripping into the chasm below".
Why don't we take a moment on that? :)
While it's an interesting idea, I think we'd better not get too complicated, because we're almost out of time. So I guess we need to go with the more obvious answer, even if it is wrong, just to make sure we get done... :/
But that doesn't mean people can't make suggests and comment... But I think at this point, we're going to close up the convo...
