Teams: Remember to have fun!
cheers like crazy
RIP Mom, I love & miss you more than you know. Tell Dede hi.
Ocean Conservation Namibia on YouTube... they do good work! https://www.ocnamibia.org
thank you! .. you would need spoilers for our team forum?
Don't think they do.
, a question.. "Please role-play your solution to the mystery as well as your journey aboard the ship and your opinions of the current situation in Falcor"
Is this the opinion of current situation in Falcor as a group? Or can one character have a different opinion then the other? Not quite understanding that one.
Is it 1 RP combining the 3 aspects ... solution, journey and situation, or 3 separate RPs, 1 for each aspect?
Going Fishing!!! 🐟
I'm very interested in the answers to the questions Chook and Straywillow asked.
Also one extra question I have: is Lucien implying that each of our teams is one of the escort ships of the guest transport Djoni is on? I think that's what Lucien meant.
When posting possible puzzle solutions, I don't want to spoil the fun for someone who wants to post their own, but maybe isn't yet ready to see someone else's work. Not a big deal, just trying to be considerate. :-)
Thanks , we all just throw ideas and what we Hope is answers out! :)
yay!! Go teams and don't get airsick ❤

This seems like it will go better if I just try to answer all of these for everyone. This is your first RP challenge, and I tried to design it so new players, members playing on different teams, and veterans could all get together and blend styles and thoughts. Hopefully, it will help teamwork overall.
If you're new, there's a lot to learn about Crystania, and the ships. Lucien owns the Floating Frenchman, and a great deal of action has been done on and with her over the events. Izzy has the Victorious Vixen, the fastest sloop in the skies, with Pugnose Q. Abernathy as her flying mate, while the Caroline, a battle and radio ship, is Bearman Jack's. Nancy has the Nicely Naughty, a shuttle similar to Inara's of Firefly, while the Ascendant Dragon Fleet belongs to the Katsuhiros. They're fully equipped for anything and Tanaka's favorite is the Black Wing. These are the vessels which will fly as your escorts.
Your teams are boarding the behemoth shown at the chapter's start. Think of it as a turreted mini-hotel and lounge, very lavishly furnished as a luxury transport. It's not going to hold up in a battle, but it's great for meetings and buffets. Your team will meet within, discuss the aspects of what you believe is happening in Falcor, and solve the problem of who killed the Prime Minister and with what. You can speculate on why as part of your theory. The mystery itself is really not hard, BUT relating it to everything else should be interesting.
It's one RP, in which everyone has an in-character voice, and you all most certainly do NOT have to agree on everything. The points are in playing your characters.
This RP is worth 1500 points if you get a "perfect," and tthe mystery is 500. The judges reserve the right to add bonus points for something that blows them away, and I reserve the right to subtract some if, and only if, you make my job so hard I end up shrieking. (Seriously, I've threatened to do this, but never have, and some of you would be surprised at what hoops I've had to jump through over the years. Be kind to me, please!)
Above all, have fun with this!!
just so I am sure I'm understanding this correctly - we are not supposed to go to Falcor in our team's own ship? We are supposed to go on the luxury transport behemoth pictured instead and leave our ship behind?
Is the team required to stay together or is it fine if one or more members flies our own ship so we have it if we need it? If we did that would it necessarily take points off or make things harder on you (we certainly don't want to make things harder on you, and perhaps you have plot plans that require everyone to be on the luxury behemoth transport)
more explanation of RP here.
RP has been started as an introduction in SL if you can add a paragraph or so on your character.
I'm trying to understand, since you all walked through the magic corridor to get to Crystania, how on earth your team acquired a ship? Yes, I do have things planned, and yes, this does throw a small monkeywrench in, but I can write it into the plot. However, it just doesn't make sense to me at this point.
Also, le sigh, teams splitting apart and having members go off in different directions when the judges are judging the RP as a whole creates a headache for everyone involved and a real juggling act for fairness.
I propose that anyone trying to ditch (looking at you, Sorn !) be short with a blowdart and rendered unconscious. By plot gremlins.
Yes.
hugs The cat herding has begun, dear. Best wishes! There's a reason we're Wayward!
Edit: by the way, does the behemoth have a name? Because if not I'm just gonna dub it the Behemoth and call it a day....
The way some people spell makes me wonder about their pronunciation. My CW shop, and my ping group
Good question, I will re-read about the magic corridor, perhaps I didn't comprehend that correctly ! thanks for your help!
edit: OK, I see this line:
"Leaving Ertrude with what you feel will be a winning entry, you traverse the long corridor that bends distance and takes you to a secret entrance at the Gearwork Goose, where a smiling Nancy is eager to greet you."
I did not quite realize that this magic corridor was one-way. So presumably the ship would be back at the Wayward Squirrel while all of us are now at the Gearwork Goose in Crysania. And it would be ... impossible or unlikely to go back to the ship by the same corridor? So we go in the new ship. This seems like the best approach, thank you for the clarification and pointer!
