I know I'm mega stupid but I just can't figure out how people get emojis showing in their shop names. What is this sorcery and how does it work? :v

I've tried but they just show up as " Shop name :emoji: "

It's actually just unicode characters. Certain devices will render them as emoji, while on others they will just show up as the symbol.

The easiest way to type them (for me) is to just google the unicode I want (like "unicode pizza slice") and copy+paste it into the shop name.

are you sure it was shikei and not an emoji? Some devices will render unicode emoji as colored images. Can you screenshot the next time you see that perhaps, i have never seen anything other than unicode and i shop search a LOT.

I think that's a unicorn emoji, ? (U+1F984), but I can't see that at all with my current machine ^^

Lux has the unicode for a unicorn as their shop name.
