Hey there - I'm Phoenikks I stumbled upon an ad for Subeta on Facebook earlier in the day and it caught my interest. I don't play a ton of these kinds of games/join these sorts of virtual communities anymore but I thought I'd try it out. I used to be a heavy user of Neopets and the like back in the day so I'm a sucker for the nostalgia of this stuff. Plus the art was too enticing to resist.

I'm a 20 year old college student from Northeast America, I run D1 track and cross country for my university. I'm majoring in Public Relations. Some of my interests/hobbies include punk rock, heavy metal, going to shows, casual gaming (mainly shooters, horror games, & RPGs), horror movies, and anything caffeinated, although my one true love is coffee.

Anyway, looking forward to getting to know some people on here. If anyone has any tips or useful info for beginners, I'll be happy to hear it. I've gone through the tutorial already and tried to absorb most of the info in the FAQ hahaha

my first tip would be to go to this page and add the following widgets to your sidebar if they aren't already present: shop search, search subeta, and quests. you can rearrange the widgets on your sidebar by dragging and dropping them, if you haven't already figured that out.

i'd recommend doing as many quests as you can each day, as they will help you earn a lot of sP fairly quickly. also poke around various features - different games, forums, the wardrobe, etc. - and see what you're most interested in. aside from pets, i love playing around in the wardrobe.

definitely add this page to your bookmarks (either in your browser or using subeta's built-in bookmark feature, by clicking the little plus sign near the top right of the page) and visit every day, or as often as you can - visiting the bathhouse daily provides a variety of rewards that increase in value the more consecutive days you visit, including CSC (cash shop credits, which can be bought with real money at a rate of $1=100 CSC, or purchased with sP by buying credit gift cards from other users, which exist in denominations of 100, 250, 500, 1000, 3000, and 5000).

as far as pets go, if you liked neopets you'll probably enjoy creating characters and stories for your pets. you can even code (or have someone else code) custom profiles like the pet lookups on neo, as well as draw (or have someone else draw) custom artwork which you can display instead of the default pet artwork on their profile. one of my favorite things is to collect lots of items relating to my pets' characters and put them in their treasure chests, which basically just displays these items on their profiles.

also, subetalodge is a great fansite that lets you look up various items and see all the different pets and the colors they come in, as well as many other features.

also also, if you don't yet know, there are several icons at the top right of forum posts. if you're replying to someone's post you can click the first icon, the one that looks like a little megaphone, to 'ping' them so they get a notification that you mentioned them in the post and know you replied to them.

uhhhh yeah gosh there are lots of other things to do but that's what i've got to say right now :P anyway good luck!

Ahhh sweet caffeine! I must admit a weakness for a nice medium roast Hawaiian Kona myself. Though a nice strong Nevada Black from the Blind Dog roasters is one I'll never say no to either. 's tips are all great. I recommend creating a wishlist. Just click on the +wishlist below an item you like, and other users can see what you would like to have. There are whole forum threads dedicated to sending each other wishlist items, and lots of generous players just love gifting people.
