I would love to do the Carl quests but I can not yet since I do not have the map... how on earth do i find the map pieces? For some reason I can not do an item search for them to even buy them secondhand! :(

They are called Uncharted Land Map Piece 1 (number 1 through 9). They can be found in random events, but they're very cheap right now (about 100k in total for all pieces), they used to be millions.
