What's the rarity cap on vending?

I think it's different for each machine, in my experience it's usually pretty low like 65 or less. I think the machine with the highest is Ocean Depths Subetalodge has a vending guide. Does it say?

I wonder whyyyyyy it's so low. I'd much rather drop all of my tokens at the chance to get a (specific, in this case) rare item than shell out the sp.. I'm too lazy for restocking.

I did all my Vending for Achievement after Vending was nerfed, but because it was only for the Achievement for me, I didn't analyze it, sorry. I just crammed everything into the fragmentizer as it was cheaper source of crystals to vend and frag than to hoard and frag.

the whyyyy of it is that the economy of Subeta didn't used to counteract the massive amounts of low-value items that playing the game generated, and it most certainly didn't have the mechanisms that would get rid of the even more tons of the unwanted items that Vending generated.

Even with the stronger attention to Recycling from only accepting three items to twenty one items and Fragmentizing by actually restocking items in there that people wanted and making it less of a total ass-pain to do, it wasn't enough.

There are many folks who are not pleased to restock, even though it is much easier now than it used to be.They would Vend because it was soothing and easier. Me, I don't mind that some people have fun with this. But some noisy users did. Staff have claimed that Vending was always untenable and they were thinking of a way to weaken/end it though, all the while also having quests dump two to three items per quest even though they only generated one (usually) at the time so ???

I was hoping that the might show up but its r81, so am I wasting my time? thanks for your help.

I'm pretty sure you are. I think the rarity cap for Ocean Depths is r80 and I know the other machines have lower caps, whatever those caps may be.

Most vendables that are that expensive have been vended for zillions of times and it's been awhile since it's been released, so usually if there were any easy to use market forces to drop the price like vending the price would have dropped. It's probably as expensive as it is though because of the new Cake Achievement.

FWIW my experience is that because there aren't a lot of really nice finds in Bake Stop that the restocking pressure isn't so very high. Memorize the shop number or make it one of your bookmarks and memorize where your "page all the way down" button is on your keyboard and you should be able to restock a slice within a month, IME. My guess on this based on my restocking experience r80 is not so rare and shows up around twenty times in any given month.
