@ skydreamer should we all have our characters have the same background? Or different ones? Also should we have a end date for ha's like the 15th or 14th?
Also.... do we want to separate the discussions for two part challenges like this one? We could have a discussion forum for the HA's, and limit this one to the hinkle pinkle thingies?
Veta beta schemata data OR smart chart counterpart start... An article about data collection in preparation for creating a schemata for a machine that will help people spot birds in Veta..
Tavern Return Heartburn Concern OR hot pot plot blot... An article about how the chef at the tavern made an extra-spicy chili dish to welcome everyone back to the tavern, but it was so hot that it gave everyone heart burn.

@ rainestorme
wait, is the hink pink suppose to be about Biggs, or was that just the example?
edit: Cause, if not, I kinda like your Tavern ones. Sounds interesting and kinda fits the theme of where we are currently staying.

I think separate topics discussions be a good idea. As it is I'm already getting a little confused and I've missed a few things from the group hashtag not pinging properly. >_<
I think it can be about anything going off of the quotes skydreamer posted on the top of this thread.
I really like the tavern one as well. but wait are we supposed to make two hink pinks AND two articles..? I've already gotten really, really confused and I wouldn't even know how to go about writing a news article...
Pokes GreenRowan's post quote from above...
What you are doing is creating a small news story that would have two headlines in some sort of hink pink.
So it sounds like we need to write one story, but with two options for a hink pink title for it. :)

So if the two hink pinks are about the same article, we could use both tavern return heartburn concern and hot pot plot blot about the one story?
Yep, that's my understanding of it. :) It seems many of you like the tavern heartburn idea. :O Does anyone have a journalistic bent and want to write the actual article?

Gah... I'm no good with writing... but I wish we had some idea what was expected for the article... how long it should be and such or if we really only need a few sentences? I don't think it's been specified...
They said short, so I wouldn't imagine it needs to be more than a paragraph or two.

Please edit or add as anyone sees fit.
"The yearly return of wayward wanderers and friends this year was met with joy, merriment, and heartbreak, but not the kind you were expecting. Returning adventurers to the local tavern were greeted with a new dish on the list, a new kind of chili to spice up the evening. But, for those unfortunate to order were met with heartburn as curry powder had accidentally been added to the mix. Yet, the evening was not entirely soured as some adventurers turned the unfortunate affair into a chili eating challenge. "
Can you imagine some of us sitting around trying to come up with this? x3

Thank you!!! That looks perfect to me. :D
((sorry everyone for the brief replies, kind of a weird day today and squeezing in some subeta time real quick))
Sounds lovely! If you don't mind, I added an "extra hot" to the curry powder, to increase the epidemic proportions of the heart burn :)
