hey! my name's carmilla. i've been on a pretty long roleplay hiatus mostly due to not being able to find partners as easily anymore (blessed were the Golden Years of roleplay) but before that i had a good 8ish years of experience under my belt.

to go ahead and get a few important things out of the way, i'm in my twenties and would prefer to roleplay with someone around my age, my time zone is EST but my girlfriend lives in england so i'm essentially nocturnal, and i'm only interested in f/f or nb (so long as they're not male-aligned) pairings

• i guess i'd call myself literate/advanced (yes i can use caps in other settings lol) but that said, i'm not super into ridiculously long replies. if the current plot status calls for it then by all means, write away and i'll do the same but let's be real, we're not anne rice describing new orleans. gratuitous detail for no reason other than to add length isn't necessary!

• i'd prefer not to double but i do tend to bring in a lot of NPCs solely because the world usually doesn't consist of only two people. and i'm totally down with sharing the NPCs and both writing them when it's necessary

• let me know ahead of time what your limits are! i prefer plots to get pretty dark so be prepared for some gruesome stuff, but things like age gaps, non-con (unless previously discussed), etc are a no-go

hooonestly i'm not entirely sure what i'm looking for. i'm just going to throw out a kind of arbitrary list and if anything catches your eye, fantastic! but if not, feel free to throw suggestions at me. the only thing i'm not interested in is sci-fi

• medieval (fantasy or not)

• victorian england (again, fantasy or not)

• stockholm syndrome (ask me about this, i have the barest bones of an idea for it)

• ballet boarding school

• horror in general is my fav, so if you have any horror cravings definitely hmu

and then there's fandoms. all of my fandoms are incredibly obscure but on the off chance that any of you know of them? character i'd want to play is in [brackets]

• [lucille sharpe] / edith cushing (crimson peak)

• [harley quinn] / poison ivy (dc comics/suicide squad/etc)

• i'd also be interested in something based in the hunger games universe set pre-books
