I've always wondered, why do they sometimes ask for Subeautique items?

They probably just ask for a range of items in a certain rarity without any other filters than that

is it...supposed to do that? or...is it..outdated?

I think the blue building can ask for items that are restockable rarity (1-99), which technically all of the Subeautique items are so that's why it can ask for them. I usually just skip any quest where the items cost much more than 100k total.
