So I honestly just got into the whole baking thing and I have to say I'm pretty perturbed that most of the items required to bake anything are upwards of 100k. Yeah, I know it's chump change for some, but when you're at level 2 and can only choose from a limited amount of recipes...well...it's annoying -.- About five or six items in and I'm already spending close to a mill on just ONE recipe.

Plus you spend all that sP and then the thing has a possibility to burn!? -grumble grumble-

Ayup. Baking is grindy and not very fun. It's a shame because it's kind of a really cute feature. :/

Restocking is your best bet if you want to get baking supplies for a cheap price, btw. That, or waiting 'til the Mystery Box is one of the shops that supplies baking ingredients.

I would love to be more into it D:< I love baking in general (heck it's my profession xD)

I may just have to lurk the shops and snag some ingredients.

i know this feel well u^u;; it seems like it takes forever to level up, and once the cake achievement came out and ingredient prices started spiking again my interest in making a whole load of garlic bread cones waned pretty quickly lmao

also, it's not particularly cost-effective, but the baking starter kit /is/ cheaper than buying baking powder right now, and it'll give you some random staples in addition to what you need for the maple cookies or the rice pudding. i bought a bunch when they were cheaper, bc i'm lazy when it comes to restocking :B though the kit won't give you baking powder all the time since the rice pudding recipe doesn't use it :

I've noticed the price on some the the ingredients has dropped ever so slightly. Not a lot, mind you, but eh.

yeah, tbh it's still not as bad as when the feature first launched, i just don't feel like paying that much for garlic scapes, hah. i'm hoping lots of people get the starter kits from the bathhouse and those get cheaper again soon too ;w; /cheapskate

I had been chugging along, slowing getting my baking up (I'm at level 10 atm) and then those new cakes came out and /wham/ getting a lot harder to get necessary things for baking. And I need those awesome cakes for a pet's TC, so I'll keep working, just taking a lot longer now. But eventually the newness will wear off and it'll be easier to get stuff again. Damn you, baking powder!!

I hope so! Like I said earlier, the decrease in price is slowly coming along, but still >->

I'll admit, it took a lot of camping out in the food shop to get ingredients, but as you get more recipes you'll get some that don't need baking powder, which is a bonus. I tend to snag things I know I need when I see them and keep a section in my vault for baking things. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get there!

I've got a few baking starter kits socked away in my vault from the bathhouse.

My main issue is getting the ingredients together. I like to pull out all the ingredients for several tries at all the items in a given level. I can only bake when I have a GA because I usually end up with more than 100 ingredients waiting to be used. Then I get error messages all over the place.

I'd really, really love to see a "pantry" (like the ornament inventory) and then just drag the ingredients to a big pot or something.

The pantry suggestion is great. o3o Personally I don't care for baking as the prizes aren't worth the effort for me and it reminds me too much of irl baking so I'd be even crankier lol.

Its already been suggested. I can't remember though, if it had its own topic or it was someone's idea within another baking suggestion. I would have credited the suggestion if I could remember where it came from.

I'm almost level 3 and I already just want to give up, haha. I can live without cake!

I literally just made level 4 and I'm taking a break for awhile lol All the new recipes I got have expensive ingredients and I get aggravated with doing the same recipe over and over again -.-

I did add my support for the pantry in the suggestion thread though! Hoping they get around to adding that >->

wow I thought I was the only one annoyed by the prices..I barely made it to level 2 and one of the ingredients costs 300,000 sP!!! like no way!! I might stop soon..I have better things to spend sP on lol

Especially now that once I've leveled up again the new recipes I received all have outrageous ingredient prices. Just can't win -_-
