Hello everyone, I had a quick question about my pet leopard gecko and I was wondering if someone could give me advice.
I have had my female leopard gecko Krueger for 10 months now, and she's been wonderful and lovely and my best friend. Lately she hadn't been hunting for her food so I checked her stomach to make sure she was digesting ok and I noticed the bottoms of her feet were red, most likely from the heat wave we're in. They don't look blistered or open wound like, so what I've done is I replaced her substrate (normally paper towels) with an actual old towel I have and draped any hard surfaces with face towels. I also have put damp paper towels in a tub and have been letting her soak her feet in there for about 10/15 minutes a night. I have turned off her heating mat (which is temperature adjusted by a lamp dimmer) until her feet get better.
Does anyone else have any suggestions for her? I really want to make sure that she heals as fast as possible.
Keep an eye on things, maybe put some neosporin without pain relief on. Can you post a picture?

Sounds kinda weird.. is it all 4 feet that are red? If she's overheating, she may be trying to escape and injuring her front feet trying to climb the terrarium. Also, is she shedding properly? Incomplete shedding can cause a ton of problems. My boy lost toes to it before I adopted him.
