Im always broke.I have joint bank account. My mother is the other person on the account. We both have a set income we get same amount every month. We got left debt when my dad died.So I know most of the money goes to bills. We checked with food stamp place they said we don't qualify.Car payment, house payment, electric bill, phone bill and all the debt left to us is eating the bank account to nothing. Im serious one month soon as the checks hit the account all the money was gone and we where in overdraft.

recently over 200.00 was stolen out of the vehicle along with a cell phone and a tablet( tablet was not paid off).

I get walmart gift cards from apps on my phone which helps get some food and personal items.

Ive been rolling change for car gas.we both have medical conditions and have to go to check ups.

Im lost on what to do.We can't file bankruptcy for 7 more years and if we do we can't put the house in it cause that was part of papers we signed.

We use a public/medical transportation for out of town appointments luckily our insurance covers it.

This month our town was hit by a massive flood. So red cross gave us some canned chicken, chicken of the sea marinated talipia, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, cat food, cat litter and some bottled water. No help financial help though.

cat pretty much is free.I do non paid product testing (on items that are already in stores) so I get cat food, cat litter, razors, sometimes food items free in exchange for my review.I have to wait till I get picked to do a review which could take weeks. Then I get the product then I try it and send my review in.This has helped out but it could be months before my next review.

Ive cut out tv cell phone contract ( I have a pre paid phone and so does my mom) we never buy movies or go theater we don't smoke never have and we don't buy alcohol we do sometimes pickup a 2 liter of soda other than that it's juice, tea(very rarely),bottled water, those powder drink mixes you put in water. we due not use our oven or stove to save on gas.Gas for heat only. We don't buy gifts or do anything for holidays, birthdays, ect.

Total amount we get per month is only 1,000

You get make $1,000 a month and didn't qualify for food stamps? I used to work in a food stamps office, and for a 2 person household you can make up to $1,726 gross a month and qualify. This was in Oregon, though...it may be different elsewhere. What reason did they give for turning you down, if you don't mind me asking? Also, I don't know how old you are, but if you are under the age of 18 your mom could try applying for TANF.

Just a couple things I can suggest: If you have a local food bank check it out, some food banks give you a box of food every week. Also some grocery stores hand out food that is just past it's buy by date, for homeless/low income people to take every morning. This is usually bread and pastries.

I used to live off a Walmart credit card. It's usually used for electronics, but you can definitely put groceries on it. This will have to be paid off eventually, but if things are really tight this option is there for you. (Another option is Dollar Tree, which also sells food and drinks, for $1 each)

Another suggestion is switch from a bank to a credit union. I used to have Chase who charged me overdraft $30 every single day I was overdrawn, but now I'm with a credit union and they only charge me the $30 once, not every single day, that I'm overdrawn. That has saved me a lot of money overall.

Also if you have an extra room in your house, try renting it out for some extra cash. If you live in a college town this is usually pretty easy because there's always students looking for a place to live.

Lastly if you have car insurance it might be wise to file a claim for the property and cash that was stolen from it. It could raise your insurance rates, so it's something you'd want to look into first.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have questions or anything c:

food stamp place said we make to much,Another lady I know gets 1,800 a month and she gets food stamps. But I don't think she turned in her full income.she one of those who lies and boo hoo people.Anyway we do have a local commodities place but it only gives like a can of green beans, can of corn, box of cereal and that's once a month. Honestly I got so much green beans and corn I got 0 clue what to do with it.We never have milk(can't afford any) so cereal is just laying around. We might be able to get a one of those 1.00 box of milk that are on shelves in store (you know the ones you don't put in fridge till after there opened and go bad in 14 days after opening)once in awhile .

Local stores don't give out anything.Plus where down to just a few stores thanks to the flood. Our credit scores are to bad to get credit cards. Ive tried and they always tell me my address doesn't exist.Everyone on my road has this issue places think its a p.o. box but it's not.

We have a local food bank once a month but it's like a nightmare.Parking is horrible sometimes there is no place to park and you wait in the line for hours.

Im in a small town that the local churches don't help anyone unless the person signs a contract giving the church control of there finances and the person can't even buy toilet paper without the church permission.Needles to say I don't go to or even ask the local churches for help.

The community center helps out some but only during winter they fill our propane tank based on the program and we usually get a full tank every winter.which since we only use it to heat lasts unless we have ice storm or cold temps.Sometimes they offer emergency funds if there available they go fast. That's only for things like electric bills.which I have to call tomorrow and see if they can help on mine or we won't have electric shut off is tomorrow so I got to call community center soon as they open.We got the bill only 2 days ago in mail cause flood backed up the post offices.
