Hi guys, apologies for the noob question, but I've been searching like a crazy person and am either blind, stupid, or just missing something obvious.
How do you make previews for new CWs that aren't on site yet???
I'm taking the budget approach by copying individual items, pasting them on my HA base in Photoshop and magic+wanding the background away, but this erases some of the line art and quite frankly, looks like complete shit.
Would very much appreciate a tutorial!
I use Gimp 2.8 myself. I save the overlays of the items I want to use to my computer and layer them on an HA base, and then export them without the bg, unless you are showcasing a bg that is.
When you copy the overlay of the items you want to use, does it not get copied with a white background? How do you make it transparent to put over top of your preview base?
What I've been doing is going to the wardrobe and clicking "copy image" of the item overlay, but when I paste it into PhotoShop, it shows up as the image with white BG, and I can't see my preview base. This is why I magic wand the bg away to have it just be the item overlay to put on top of my preview base, but doing so messes up the outlines and looks really janky XD
Any advice on dealing with the transparency issue?
to save the image

hover over the item to get the preview, right click on the HA, and then click on save as, and name it whatever you like since it will not have the item name as an option, and hit save. it will just save the image.

and with the gimp program, you have to open everything as a layer, otherwise, it will not work.

I also have all my images saved in a file just for previews.
you are most welcome, if you need more, please don't hesitate to ping/comment me.
I use something online like pixlr.com/editor
Basically I use this two ways: if you have the pictures all saved up in your comp, then you click Layer, and open image as layer. If you have it online, you click Layer, open image URL as layer.
You can first do up a HA base with makeup/eyes that you frequently use, then click save in your wardrobe. When you go to your saved outfits page here you can get the url of it! :0
So i normally just open a tab of the wardrobe, and another tab of this. You can always get the url of wardrobe items when you put it at the upmost layer. and right click on the HA, then pick Copy Image URL
