Just curious to see if anyone here has actually watched that show? I think the concept behind it is amazingly good and could be our potential future.
For anyone who does not know, Black Mirror is a netflix series based around the fears of technological advancements. For example, a lot of people cover the cameras on their laptops in fear of someone watching them. Black Mirror shows an episode about that actually happening to somebody and what that individual goes through. Some others includes the future of social media and how it starts to literally effect the lives of people. In this episode, people are judged solely on their "ranking". Their ranking is based off of how popular they are on social media. For example, you can not rent a car if you are below a certain ranking or even fly first class etc.
The show is extremely good! Every episode has a completely different scenario and characters so you could start anywhere. If anyone has watched it please reply I would love to talk about it since most of the episodes have a completely mind-blowing plot twist ending that leaves me in awe every time.
I think many of the episodes were hit or miss, but my absolute favorite was San Junipero. ;w;

I'm agreeing with hissy. I actually loved the show, besides the first episode, which I did not like. There are so many cool concepts, and weirdly, it's EXACTLY the kind of show I've wanted for ages, I just didn't expect to enjoy how dark it is.
But San Junipero... The one happy story in a miserable world. It's one of my favorite sapphic stories.

The only episode I saw was "Be Right Back." I was upset with the ending, though, because of how the AI was treated.
I watched all episodes! I think it's great how each episode has a different story to tell, yet most of the fiction could become reality one day. I hope there'll be another season! San Junipero was my favorite episode.
Absolutely love this show! I think almost every episode had my full attention. San Junipero was also my favourite. White Bear and Nosedive also stuck at me.
My husband and I kind of binge-watched a bunch of them, so did some friends. I like how a lot of the episodes had some subject to discuss, either to compare to how things are nowadays or just to "dream" in the "what if" world.
i'll never stop singing its praises! san junipero was a personal favourite (sapphic couples and eighties culture... sold), but the ending of shut up and dance had my jaw on the floor. charlie brooker really is a genius.
I just started watching from season 3 first by accident and the first 3 eps were crazy/good. I really liked the first ep of season 3, pretty cool and how people act today with wanted to be rated and are social junkies.
Shut Up & Dance shook me. Definitely didn't see the ending coming.
We really enjoyed the whole series though.
OH my gosh yes!! I thought the first episode of the first season was weird but then it got more interesting by episode. I found the one that was the most interesting was the one where everyone had their own ratings and were determined what they can and cannot do based on their ratings like when the main character of that episode couldn't get on the airplane because she was shouting. It would totally get more people to be kinder to one another but like the main characters "best friend" that was getting married it would create more fake people. But then people who deserve those harsh ratings would have to look at their life and figure out how they can be more civil in society today. But that show you can talk about the pros and cons for days!! gosh.
Also if our president were asked to do what happened in the first episode I don't think he would because that one was all about morals, ethics, and sacrifices. In the end I thought it was so sad that she got released before he actually did it. But its a show to make you think what would you do?
