What can I do with it? It doesn't appear to work in the Coin Machine, but it seems to be worth quite a lot.

Some of those old coins don't do anything anymore, they're just collectible for galleries or pet TCs. That's probably one of those.

It doesn't do anything! I expect it's only worth that much because it's hard to find / people use it for TCs. c:

TC stands for your pets' treasure chest. You can put items in there that will appear on your pets' profile. Some people like to make really elaborate themed treasure chests, and there's also achievements for having a certain amount of items in your pets' TC.
