Hi I'm just dipping my toes into CW making, and by that I mean I spent the last 24 hours compulsively drawing my first CW. :P And thus I'd love it people could help me out with some critiques! I've gone through and gotten most of everything done, but I have no clue on whether I'm quite done with my work yet. I'm not an artist but I just wanted to drop by and say that dress is SUPER cute ^_^ <3
hey i suck at clothes but you could ask or they are usually great with helping :)
hiii v i think for a first attempt, youre on the right track! n_n i have a few smol comments, but im not the best at cws, so i hope you can get more help as well! c:

okay so the hemline should roughly fall in the direction of the redline! asymmetrical hemlines or clothing styles usually get denied (even if theyre intentional), so its best to follow that rough shape.
light source comes from the top left! so you would need to add much more shading on the right side. also you have to shade with a HARD brush - i noticed you have soft shading, which is nice!, but doesnt suit cw standards. remember to also add shading where the ruffles fall. also try to avoid shading too little contrast, like Very Light Grey, because even if you use a hard brush, it can still look like soft shading.
thats all the advice i can give for now - i hope you can keep it up! c: im excited for you! n_n

Thank you so much, I'll take those comments into consideration and get back to editing! I'm very excited too!
