The Blue Building Shop has been updated to match our current special shops!
For those of you who have access to the Blue Building, you know that you get points from doing the Blue Building Quests. If you complete the quests, you also improve your rank which gives you access to more items in the shop!
Yay this makes it easier to decide whether or not to declare a fail!
Oh, this is much better, it looks much better now that it matches the rest of the other shops in terms of layout! I kind of wish the blue building would get a magical overhaul - it's a strange little place. The lobby navigation is the main problem, for me at least.

Yeah, it's too big of a project to do a complete rehaul at the moment. was working on it when he was still a programmer with us (he had many plans for it COOL THINGS THAT MAY NEVER COME SRY). The shop didn't take too long to move over (there were a few backend things like messing with the currency to make it easier on staff haha) and my next goal for BB is to move the quests over, but I have other things around the site to do too. ALL THE THINGS.
Woo, it's nice to have it being consistent with the other currency shops!
The "Points Headquarters" link in the text on the shop page doesn't seem to be working, it brings me to the Special Shops page.
There's a link to the shop in the Special Shops page, but it doesn't actually go anywhere?
And the Points Headquarters link in the shop similarly doesn't seem to go where you'd expect?
I do like the overall look of the shop! I'm curious, because I'm not sure if my rank is high enough that I see everything or not. If you don't have the proper rank, can you see the items but just not be eligible to buy them (similar to Fantine - you can see the recipes but can't make them) or do you just not know the items exist?

And , you just can't see them. When you get higher rank, they'll show up. I think the highest you need at the moment is 15 or 20 tbh.

The link there works for me? Like on this page, I click the blue buliding and it takes me to the right page. (I have it redirecting from the original blue building shop page so no one can actually go there and buy a thing).
I was hoping for a magical overhaul as well , but this is a good start :P

Awesome, I'm glad the rank requirement is relatively low. I don't mind not being able to buy things without the proper rank, but I do dislike the idea of not even knowing what I'm missing (it's not much incentive to get a higher rank if you don't even know what you can't buy). Lucky the threshold is low so it's not an issue though!
The Points Headquarters page is pretty rough - it told me I have zero blue points, and the disclaimer on the bottom of the page doesn't really seem.. recent?
[edit] Maybe when I got directed to the Special Shop page when I clicked the old Points Headquarters link messed up being able to use any links in that page. You're right, it totally works if I navigate directly to the Special Shop page and go from there!

Oooh, let me fix that. I thought I got all the areas that put out the points. Basically what I did with this new shop is I made a blue currency, which is now in a table with our other currencies. The way it was done before was really weird (it was also very old). So it's been a bit of fun coding everywhere for it haha.
And yeah, it's kind of like uh. Alchemy? Where you can't make items until you get higher up etc. I can start including the ranks needed for items in news posts like I do with alchemy. :)

Went and updated the points page with more info, including an example of one of the items and the rank needed. Let me know if you think anything else should be added there

@ Amber this is a minor thing, but the lobby doesn't say it's the lobby? i see "Blue Building: Floor 1 - Quests" o: (also building is misspelled on the points headquarters page twice.)
[edit] now that i'm not on mobile, the new shop page looks so nice ;w; the wider rows are great! and man, i thought i was getting up there at rank 316, but i have nothing on building management lmao ouch
