Hey there, I'm supposed to interview 3 Spanish speakers for an essay for my Chicano studies class. Seeing as I'm super introverted and don't know anybody irl, I have no one to interview. So I would really appreciate it if you'd help me out and answer the questions below. (You don't necessarily need to be fluent or Latino to answer.) :)
I think they're jusk too lazy to learn either, yes I have to my dismay. Spanglish is to my knowledge a mash-up of terms and jargon. Its like saying "You're English is worse than your Spanish.
I can to a point, but it evolves.
No, I don't I prefer to speak with some degree of eloquence. I am a native speaker, and proud of it.
- I'm Spanish, but I'm not good at speaking it. I can understand a lot of it though.
Spanglish is when English and Spanish words are used side by side. It can be confusing to follow a conversation when the language changes frequently.
It depends on the conversation and how fast it's being spoken. I've noticed Spanglish is most commonly used by Puerto Ricans, who speak too fast for me to understand most of the time. But, if I can clearly hear some words, I can usually get the general idea of the sentence.
I can only handle one language at a time when I speak. Talking to people is already hard enough for me.
I'm not sure if you needed longer answers, but that's all I can think of. :x
You guys are awesome, thank you so much for your help! I just turned in my essay! 😌
