Are any of you guys students here whether it be high school, college, or graduate school? How is your semester going so far? What are you studying? :)
For me, I'm in the first year of my MA in history. I am focusing on the use of dogs during WWII. I received a research grant so I can head out to NE over the summer to look at some archives. I'm so excited.
I'm a college student. I've been in school since ... 2014 [insert sobbing here]. Switched courses 3 times since 2011 too. I am studying social work and I aspire to be a technician in 2019. I'm trying to decide if I also want to be a law technician on the side. Not too sure yet. I kinda want to work haha.
I'm in the end of semester rush atm. I'm also taking a class over the summer. Nothing too exciting :u
I'm in my junior year of college, and it's driving me crazy. I'm studying forensic biology and starting my research project, along with the usual end of semester rush. I feel overwhelmed at points, there's so much to do and never enough time to do it!

Oh, I'm so sorry! That sounds painful. That's probably one of the benefits of a science major, we don't really have papers to write. Instead, we get stuck in labs that are three hours long.

Honestly, there are days where science kicks my butt, especially physics. Quite possibly the worst class I have ever had to take. But I can't see myself doing anything else, I love forensics too much.

Ahh, I see. Yeah, chemistry tends to be what gets most people. General chemistry I and II were no problem, but when I had to take organic, all bets were off. I had no clue what was going on. Luckily, I had a professor who knew we didn't understand and curved accordingly.

Welcome to the club :c I've just wasted around 4 hours ish just to sign up for summer school.
I'm in a weird border of being a Sophomore and Junior for a BS in Information Systems Technology.
This has been a rough semester for me. I've been sick 3 times, dealt with something awful that I had to pretty much forget happened, unsuccessfully trying to move out of a house that's been up for sale, and I have no clue about anything in my classes.
I'm bored of my major, but I know I'll come back to liking it sooner or later. I just want projects that aren't focused on structured business things. I know my major is geared towards getting work, but geez, I need some creativity to be interested in them.
- That research project sounds very interesting! Good luck! c:
I graduate in May with a masters in library science. I was going to go into a Ph.d in Modern European history for Fall 2017 (bachelors was in history) , but unfortunately didn't get accepted though at any of the universities I applied to.
For Ph.d if I had gotten in it was going to be mid-late Victorian-WWII British history. For my MLS I wanted to go into archives, academic libraries, but might end up being a public librarian job wise just because there's more available for jobs in that field.
I'm in my second semester of studying computer science.. First semester was literally hell because I took way too many courses and I had 0 time for anything. Now I'm taking it more slowly and I am super happy. It's still quite challenging but fun nevertheless.

At the time I applied for my history Ph.d. it was mostly gender studies, and educational history that I wanted to focus on. At this point I'm not sure if I'll re-apply and see if I get in, most because of the lengthy application process and because I'd have to get new recommendations again probably.
I'm about to begin my Sophomore year for a BS. I still don't know what I want to do, specifically. I'm interested in the Earth Sciences (Environmental Science, Geology, Wildlife Biology), but I just don't know how to choose a focus. My quarter's going well so far. I've got a busy schedule (School from 7am-12pm and then work from 1pm-8/9pm) but I'm making it work. I love the animal behavior class I'm taking this quarter. It's incredibly interesting!
