Right now what I have in mind for him is a devout paladin and worships a sun god, so I figured a reborn pet but they all kinda look... angry/playful or aloof which is not what I want to go for at all. He's truly the lawful type that thinks in black and white. (ex. like a thief stealing to feed his starving sister should come to justice but would make arrangements for the girl to be taken into apprenticeship or something) Species color help would be amazing. Also I really don't like Archans.

I think you're on the right track with reborn - it fits very well with the sun god idea. I think the reborn telenine looks peaceful, the noktoa looks wise, and I think the neela has the right looks to be godlike. You could also go with sun - it's less fiery but still has the right color scheme? Exp. 6789 has a similar color too and the 911 has flames. Other exps with an overlay could work depending on what you want the god to look like - for example the 1550 with the clock changed to a sun.

have you considered Angelic? many of them seem quite serene and definitely could come across as devout. Maybe the Irion or the Montre would work?

Ah thank you with the sun suggestion! I am looking through the colors now and think it might work. I'm thinking maybe the Endeavor or Tigrean? I'm not sure but I think I should just pick a species that fits and draw an overlay later. I already have a retired knight that is angelic so I think that would make them too similar but I do love the Irion!!
