Please? Pleaaase?

I have two gem/rock collecting pets but there's no geodes on the site (except one cash shop item). Geode slices, agate stones, malachite rocks, peacock ore, pretty stones that come from the ground =D I know we have a few precious stones on the site, but I honestly thought there'd be more.

Especially with Steven Universe being as big as it is, it'd be a nice addition for those types of fanpets? If there are more items out there (that aren't cash shop restricted or custom items) I obviously overlooked them.

Many of those examples are dyed specimens, which I'm personally not fond of, BUT AS A HUGE ROCK NERD YES TO MORE ROCKS.

I would really love to see some quartz clusters (clear, rose, smoky, aura, amethyst, citrine, rutilated/tourmalated) Also some misc. stones/minerals like carnelian, labradorite, celestine, fluorite, malachite, snakeskin agate, sunstone, selenite, tourmaline, ocean jasper, THE LIST COULD GO ON FOREVER.

We have most of the canon gems on site (I have them all in Kindergartener's TC and wishlist) but they're really old and really, really expensive. Like 10 mill+ expensive in some most cases. So I support newer, cheaper alternatives to the old Collection Items which are right now the only 'proper' gems on the site. Especially diamond items!

I don't think we have a lapis, quartz, or garnet gems that aren't in jewellery or carved into shapes.

I think there actually are quite a few stones/rocks on site, but I don't know of a single one that isn't... realllyyyy expensive.

I think The Sable Smithy would be a great place to stock these things. Even if they're not really used for smithing, it would fit in with the rest of the things in the shop (like the raw sapphire and such) so it would still sort of make sense to be sold there. It would be great to have some pretty rocks that are affordable too.

Another option would be to have maybe a "Coda Caves Gift Shop", maybe it's only open when the Coda Caves are open every month, but the caves have very pretty crystals and I could totally see it having geodes and stuff too.

One last thought, would be that these items would be great as wearable backgrounds. I know there's a Coda Caves background and a couple CW backgrounds with crystals- but other than that I can't think of much, I think backgrounds that involve a cave, or even a museum exhibit with pretty rocks would be really nice to have.

I like this idea especially if some of them were backgrounds. Maybe a few could be tinted foregrounds, such as rose quartz.

Approved, especially ones that are.. not wearables. But more natural/material type items? (Sable Smithy stuff?)

Rock museums or gift shops would be amazing, as well as putting them in the Sable Smithy shop. Backgrounds, foregrounds carved items, raw stones, man I'd love me some raw amethyst. opalized wood, just.. all kinds of rocks for the rock enthusiasts ;w;

I 100% support this idea!! Aventurine and citrine and peridot :D we could have a literal treasure mine of items.

YESSS. I'd love to see carnelian, fluorite, malachite, prasiolite, hematite... ___ Good for so many types of TCs. I know Subeta has lots of greedy dragons who would love it (including a few of mine, haha).

I would love some more gems, yes! I remember wanting some alexandrites for my respective pet's TC, and there's a grand total of four items on site that aren't custom wearables.

ETA: Maybe the Coda Caves Gift Shop suggested above could sell the items for coda crystals? Give them another use besides galactifying pets for those of us who really want the crystal minions but have terrible luck getting them

I would actually love to see candy/chocolate geodes too. But really anything geode would be super cool.

how are rocks dyed? My dad had so many colored ones when I was growing up, I didn't they were dyed.

Rocks and minerals don't look like those in the picture, so those have been dyed/treated/photoshopped or otherwise altered. It's kinda...crude? I dunno ugly in a polyester disco shirt kinda way. I hope if this Suggestion gets implemented they don't replicate that.

All That Glitters has quite a few gems already. It makes more sense to my mind that Mettieu would sell these items.

Agates and some other rocks can typically be dyed using chemical solutions. The colors are usually very saturated looking. It's not really a bad thing, but as a rockhound, I'm much more partial to their natural state :D

There are also some that can be heat treated to achieve certain looks, like "baked citrine" is really just amethyst that's been, well, baked in an oven. Still pretty though.

I didn't know that! My dad used to take me to rock shows (like, rocks) in the 90's all the time. He had a very big collection of rocks and fossils. Some of it he got just because it was pretty.

I'd love to see both natural and dyed rocks items in the future.

I'd absolutely love to see minerals and rough/uncut gems, the geologist in my heart cries out for more rocks and minerals

Not a stone, but I'm seriously obsessed with geode cakes lately.
