Hi, I'm Faber, and I'm newly joined as of yesterday! I came about this site in a roundabout way, I was actually on another site's writing forum, and someone was talking about how they used this site to try out and develop new characters for their book and they explained a little of what they do and it sounded awesome so I thought I'd give it a go myself!

I'm a writer, mostly short stories and poetry, but someday I'd like to write a novel (isn't that such a cliche?), and I've got bits and pieces of one in the making, as well as a growing collection of poetry I'd like to publish one day. I like inventing characters and places and seeing how they all interact, it's fun! For my day job I'm a leasing agent, which lends me plenty of opportunities to meet new people and hear their stories. It also leaves me with scattered free time throughout the day that I spend on my little laptop doing whatever, so when I'm not able to dedicate time to concentrate on writing, I need something to do to pass the time. This site seems perfect for that!

Anyway, I wanted to say hello, and please let me know if I get lost or say something foolish! I hope to meet some of you cool people soon :)

Aw thank you! lol and yes, when I join a new community I tend to throw myself into it and get the lay of the land as quickly as I can, saves me lots of headaches later on! I'm really enjoying everyone I've met so far and I'm looking forward to future events and opportunities!

oh for sure. You should check out the giveaway forum for raffles and things, and stimulate your style in the avatar contests forum is a good way to practice making HAs. Tons of activity in the writing/pet forums too :) have fun!
