OK, so I've dueled against Boudewijn twice: once a win, once a loss; enough to get both achievements in 24 hours. But after that, nothing. I haven't seen him ONCE since then.. is he just done dueling me cause I lost or cause of both achievements or something like that, or am I just incredibly unlucky in that he just happens to not want to FITE ME? I looked around and could not find answers >:I

He seems to be pretty hard to find, this year, unfortunately. I can confirm that it's not tied to the achievements though, since I had both from last year and I've dueled him a handful of times (4 or 5 maybe). But that's been over the course of at least 450+ dances (and that's a lowball estimate because the majority of that has been counted for contests)

Oh wow o.o I guess I was just incredibly lucky to have gotten both achievements in one swoop in the same day this year. xP I wasn't aware of it in past years somehow so this is the first time I've been trying for it.

yeah it's pretty random - sometimes you'll get a few in one day, most of the time you'll get none at all. i think the rate may have been slightly raised at the beginning of the event this year due to site issues that were making it almost impossible to get to the dance page where he could challenge you, but once things became more stable it was lowered again. just a theory, though.
