I shoulda put the medal up for sale... No way can I beat a 750 stat challenger, not in a million years - not even if it comes back next year... My 'battle pet' is on t1 with less than 70 health.

It happens. Just train and gets stats for your pet so maybe in the coming years, you'll be able to fight higher level challengers for other site events.

I'm honestly wondering what the logic was here. 100 stats I could understand, 200 maybe... But 750?! It went from 't1s are laughing all the way to the bank' to '5th Horseman of the Apocalypse' without warning.

I feel that regret. I got through the first two without breaking a sweat, now my T6 can't compete against the third one. I don't know a whole lot about battling, but I do know that other T6 pets (probably with way better battle sets and an understanding of all this nonsense) wiped the floor...

I'm not even attempting the 3rd because even at tier 8 for my battle pet + Malice + a couple other legendaries = I know I won't make a dent.

There's T6 pets that beat the 3rd one??? Now I need to see that (and their sets). My T6 ain't bad and I have a lot of the recommended items for that level, so I'm not using the second medal.

It's not actually so impossible to train your pet enough to beat the 750-stat one next year. I started playing Subeta during summer 2016, and since then I've trained two pets to T6 and T7 - and both of them got 5 wins on the 2nd hydra easily.

If you put them in training regularly at the training center, you can definitely get a pet to at least T6 by next year's masquerade - You don't even have to be super intense about it, just casually training and setting alerts will do. Doing battle quests whenever you remember to get experience points to spend is super helpful too, and you can start doing that now - your pet should be able to get to at least level 5 :)
