Still looking as of 4/6/17!

Its been quite some time since I last touched down on Subeta (about 4 years, I think???), but given the fact that I found two of the best RP partners I've ever met on here, I thought it'd be a good place to look again. Hopefully. I've been out of the RP game a while now, due to moving state, finding work, and general lack of motivation, so I'm hoping to find something to kick start my motivation and inspiration again.

To start, a little about me: My name's Jesse. I'm 26 years old, male, currently living in Boston, MA (which is EST). I've been RPing mostly consistently (give or take a few months here and there) for 14 years, while also dabbling in writing and the like. I'm an artist as well, and can hand out my dA or tumblr to any interested parties, but since I'm not here to advertise my art, I'll spare the self advertising lmao. Aside from art, my hobbies include video games, movies, binging netflix, and cooking. I work as a Library Assistant part time, and generally work Mondays, Wednesdays, and every other alternating Friday/Saturday (This will change in the summer slightly). I am a trans man currently undergoing HRT, and identify as demiromantic/asexual.

A few important notes: I do ask that the people I RP with are at least 18 years old. This isn't a content thing, this is just a comfort thing. As I grow older, it just feels a little awkward RPing with minors and I'd like to avoid any weirdness. I also ask that you at least make an effort with grammar and spelling (when in doubt...punctuation!), as otherwise it can be difficult to understand what you're trying to convey. Lastly, please do not nag me to reply to you! I will do my best to reply at least once a day, but if I get busy, tired, sick, etc. I can't guarantee a timely response. And sometimes one just isn't in the mood to write. If its been a few days, you're welcome to give me a nudge, but repeated nagging tends to get discouraging more than encouraging and can kill drive for an RP completely. That said, I will likely not poke you for a reply unless its been longer than a week or so. If something comes up, a quick message to let me know would be great, and I'll do my best to reciprocate. But I understand that life gets in the way, and communication can be a little stressful (particularly for the anxiety-prone). I just ask that you do your best to convey any issues my way, whether its something hindering your replies, or something you dislike about the RP, etc.

Now, with all that out of the way....onto the fun stuff! I mostly prefer original RP, but there are a few canon settings I enjoy (see below). But even in canon settings, I prefer using original characters only. As for couples, I prefer male/male couples, but am also fine with female/female. I'm okay with including male/female couples but only as non-primary characters or within an RP with multiple characters. I expect characters to always be over 18, and I have zero interest in yaoi/anime tropes and stereotypes or 'roles'. If you describe your character as an 'uke' or 'tsundere', unfortunately we probably aren't going to be a match. I'll get more into dislikes below in the optional area so I don't bore you too much.

I prefer long-term RP, including multiple characters, plot twists, and a nice balance of story collaboration. With plotting, I like a mix of prep and free-flow, aka figuring out where we might be taking our characters next or how they might interact, but also giving our characters room to develop freely and move the plot or interactions organically. Settings wise, my favorites include modern fantasy/scifi, cyberpunk, and full science fiction. I'm also open to fantasy but can be a little picky. Lastly, I will likely prefer to fade to black sporadically, depending on my mood. Maybe 1/3rd of the time. Otherwise, its up to my partner.

My preferred RPing Methods are email or private forums (ie. creating our own for play). I'm not interested in RPing over any form of IM, its just a little stressful and full of immediate expectation. I'm happy to use IMs for plotting or headcanoning though! I have telegram and discord, no skype (skype is the devil). My posting length tends to be 2-5 full paragraphs, depending on my partner. Starters can get a little longer, dialog scenes might be a bit shorter. I prefer not to go much larger than 5 paragraphs regularly, otherwise its a chore.
