I realize I can't control what happens to the pets after I give them up... but I would love to see them go to someone who appreciates both their names and the gear-gender, and will not change name or gender. To keep the gear gender, the pet has to stay Steamwork (you can change the species, but once you change the color to something other than Steamwork, you lose the gear gender and can't get it back!)
They both have some very beginner stats as well as beginner jobs.
I would like apps (please post them in this forum thread- no sMail please!) because I am not really desperate to get rid of these pets, I would like to take my time and send them to good homes. I would even keep them, except I have too many pets, not enough pet slots, and need to cut down a bit to solve my lack of focus. For apps, please say which pet you'd like, why you want them, your plans, and links to some of your pets that you're most proud of. Feel free to say a little about yourself as well, or anything, really. Finally, I hope you can understand this is totally a personal preference of mine, but I think it's better to be honest here and admit that I won't really consider an app if it's just 2-3 sentences long. To me, if someone only puts a 2-3 sentence app, it makes me feel like they don't really want the pet that much.
Inventor and Repair were originally going to be partners in the same workshop - one of them creates things, the other fixes things. If you're interested in adopting both of them, to do some sort of theme like that with the duo, I'm open to giving both to the same person. But I feel like it might be better to give them to different owners... We'll have to see!
Deadline for apps will be midnight April 17th (that's right after Masquerade ends, and gives you the weekend after Masquerade to work on an app if you need.) I reserve the right to not adopt them out if I don't find suitable owners (but hopefully I will be able to find loving new homes)
[edit] I changed the deadline to April 17th since Masquerade got extended! The original deadline was April 10th.

eeee super interested in repair, i would make them a mechanic character, prob androgynous (maybe even a trans boy??) because i can never have too many not-straight characters!
i would also like to add that i'm an aspiring mechanic (or something close, robotic engineer???) myself, so. def a thing that i won't lose interest in.

I am 95% sure I would keep Repair exactly as is, because I really enjoy the steamwork Pherret. (If I changed anything, it would just be the species, not colour/gender) Especially for my quick mental image of the character: Sort of short, either slim or a bit 'chubby,' but their overall aesthetic is sleek regardless. They would be a mechanic, having started out taking household things apart and trying to put them back together either perfectly, or constructing new things!!!! out of them. Their mother and potential siblings thought it dumb, and not a feminine thing for a young Repair to do. Their father, though, was always very supporting and would try his best to hold his own against his wife and make his child feel the best about their interests and abilities. (I think the Father would probably end up divorcing, trying to take Repair, but the law is sort of biased imo, and tend to favor mothers just because they are the mother, regardless of how they care for the child compared to the father
not that i have any....... personal experience with that sort of stuff at all
ANYWAY, Repair would have to stay with their mother and sibling(s), and that brings me into........
However, because of both the majority of their family's unhappiness and their own self doubt, they let mechanic-y things fall to the side, trying to figure out who they were, and the general stress of growing up and needing to know what you're going to do with your life as soon as you turn 18. After turning 18, though, and being able to freely do what they want, they move into/close to their father's area, and together he sort of helped them get back into mechanic-ing.
Of course, life isn't perfect, and I think after the father being alone, he has been so lonely and depressed, he's turned to drinking (at all, or more, idk yet) and so Repair trying to reconnect with him is a bit rocky from their perspective, while their father doesn't see anything wrong.

I think the bulk of Repair's story would be a day-to-day mechanic-y life, shop life, though before that I would show a bit of their younger life with their family, and getting back into contact with their father. TC would be All The Mechanic Items + story related items -possibly gender-questioning related items. -I tend to use a pet's food ate & books read to tell/show more about them, buuut for Repair I would probably only use the food, as the pet has already read some things! (but, that means intel points won't need to be boostered) -I'm slowly training up some of my smaller pets (namely Soot Sprite and Eclectic) to be battle worthy, and I would add Repair to make a trio. -most likely no love interest, possible friend/bff of Desmond

GN, my only Spotlight winner, biggest battle pet (almost t9!), gourmand (2.25k) and reader (1.25k)~ Sootie, who's closest to being done Cales & Desmond, my fav bebs (who don't look very worked on, but they are, I promise!!!) Eclectic, my skyrim OC who is being worked on very actively, especially when it comes to her TC my rl kitty fanpet.

I am interested in Repair. I have a few pets that will be going together in a story together and his name sounds like he would fit. Rutherford has the start of the story and I know that Stowaway, Khan, and Locksley are already part of the team but I think Repair would be wonderful to add. And it is funny because I have been wanting to replace the 5th pet Isaak for a while because his overlay didn't fit and I think Repair would be great. And then Masq started and it has that set of 5 charlie plushies. I think they fit the 5 members: is Stowaway is Khan is Rutherford is Locksley and that means will be Repair if I could adopt him!

App for Inventor
So, hello! I am Frey and I'm a very long-time player of Subeta that has been slowly gaining traction on being more active over the last year. Character-development and world-building are two of my favorite things ever, and I have a large amount of characters so it takes me time to really write everything out and get profiles done and all that jazz. That being said, I am slow-going but do have some examples of ones I have worked on very recently to get to a nice state: Recover, Distance, and Clan (still have to port my updated coding over to). Others with more WIP profiles would be Rise and Trial. I tend to work on content first then make things pretty, hence the lack of detail in those so far.
My friend and I have a large world called Vivere where witches/warlocks are seen as a minority, and have over time been persecuted. A heavily hidden clan called Vivere was established several centuries prior to house outcast witches/warlocks and anyone persecuted, lost, orphaned, or destitute that might wander by. They have always believed in having open arms, but are also careful because of those that might try destroying the now-sizable town due to prejudice against magical people... or due to covens. Long story short, witches/warlocks have been historically seen as corrupt due to overuse of magic over time (magic being too powerful for most to handle before going insane), but Vivere attempted to change that by teaching proper use. Covens are elitist and use magic for power and witches/warlocks for tools and various gains. So that brings me to...
Sheeta and Sheena (right now Sheena's character will be on Engineer, Sheeta would be on Inventor if chosen) were born as twin girls from a high-ranking coven leader, with Sheena being magical and Sheeta being normal. Both were clever from the start and started tinkering with toys and small machines like radios from a young age (the time period of their arc being in a steampunk-influenced era also drawing from industrial age/old west/various other genres). Sheeta was ignored for being useless and devoid of magic, while Sheena was groomed to be a powerful witch to lead the coven someday. Both really close, Sheeta was emotionally/physically abused for years by her family and when it got too harsh for either to handle, Sheena snuck them out and they fled out into a world that they were very sheltered from. It was both an adventurous thrill being away from what they were chained down to, but also terrifying knowing that they were now going to be branded as traitors.
They ended up by chance in Vivere being very honest about being coven-born. In the clan they are outcast even from their 'own kind' due to the fear of covens and how covens have attacked Vivere consistently over time. They earn their keep by living in a warehouse where they work on various inventions that Sheeta designs, with Sheena assisting in the actual crafting of the end product. It works out well considering Sheena's magic centers around electricity, and since Vivere isn't as progressive yet with steam technology. The twins start to bring it to the clan to assist with automation and other upgrades and fixes. Both want to be seen for their intellect and skills with machinery as engineering architects rather than be judged by their familial ties. There's some aspects of 'mad science' with them as well, since not everything Sheeta thinks up is actually feasible and Sheena often tries to make projects larger-than-life, but the pair have an awful lot of fun trying to come up with a solution for problems.
Some of the examples I provided you are other characters in Vivere (we have a lot of them tbh aslkfjsdf) so they're all extremely precious to me. I've been busting butt to do quests more and get funds to fill treasures up as well as get them all some art, so that they (and the rest of my characters, I have... a lot...) can all be pampered. Inventor would stay gear gender + Steamwork because perfect and the twinsies gotta match aesthetics.
tl;dr if you read all of that I am excited for the opportunity and I apologize for my word vomit about ideas, I tried to make it as brief as possible but there's... so much to this plot lmao.

Hello! I would like to put in an application for Inventor. I actually already have a profile and overlay created for him on my pet Steamed.
Inventor much more perfectly fits Steamed's persona and I would like to transfer everything to Inventor (also giving the chance for someone else to adopt steamed). His story has not been added yet, however I do write all of my own pet stories. As well I write stories for other users pets on commission.
Steamed is currently a nightmare Darkonite. I would like to make Inventor either a Steamwork Darkonite or different steamworks pet.
Steamed is a steampunkesque inventor and tinkerer. He lives in a post-apocalyptic world and is tied to my pet Supply. Supply lives in the same post-apocalyptic world as Steamed. Supply searches the wastleand for useful items and trinkets that might be useful to Steamed to make his creations. Steamed takes these odds and ends and goes into trial and error mode creating items that might make their lives easier living in a world where most modern amenities were destroyed before the apocalypse. He also tries to create new inventions that haven't been discovered yet. Supply brings his items out to markets to sell. Other travelers also bring him items he can use and trade with him via a barter system. He's somewhat of a hermit and doesn't leave his workshop if he can help it. However, Supply is his closest friend and ally.
I still have to polish the story for their profiles, but all of the ideas are put together.
