This is a silly question but why is Maleria the only one of the regular daily quests with a 125 quest achievement tier? Everyone else goes straight to 250. [sub]Also what's her obsession with 30k items[/sub]

I don't know that there's any particular reason for it, the inconsistency could have just been something that was overlooked. Those achievements have been around for a while.

It just seemed so out of place when I got the achievement lol I noticed Saggi and her also have a 150 tier but Saggi's tiers are bizarre in general.

All the other numbers seem the same.

Achievement tiers have been added in a piecemeal and random basis. There may be any historical accidents of quest tiers that made it that way. I do know that her quests used to be pretty craptastic, so to get to 250 would be something you didn't really want to do. All quest got revamped nearly three years ago, so this is not so important. But this is just speculation on my part.

Why Maleria asks for items of 30K is an artifact of user speculation, rarity price supports and restocking and has nothing to do with what she asks for or is intended to ask for. Users here rarely figure out for themselves just what a quest grantor is asking for and what they usually give, so they follow rules that someone figured out or wildly guessed before them. Sometimes these rules fail when the quest changes, and Maleria's quest did change (again). Maleria used to give out items and some of those were very nice. Items didn't used to have price supports, and now they do.

Now me I am in it for the quest points with any of the quest grantors that only give sP, I count these guys as a sP loss so my attitude is fuckit do it anyways. So there may be a way to tell if any particular 30K item will benefit you if you give it to her but I can't be bothered. Try guessing on rarity? I dunno.

I kept trying to recall if she used to give items! I was around before the Big Quest Revamp but really couldn't remember.

The 30k isn't really a big deal to me but the number just kept coming up and seemed so specific lol

I know that she asks for items from Spells Galore and some weapons, so IDK about the prices. I guess it just happens that they end up priced that way in user shops fairly often, because people know that Maleria asks for those items.

my guess as to why that number comes up so often is that all quest grantors have a maximum reward and that the items in question are high enough rarity (or whatever Maleria wants) that a quest that has them in it will approach that amount and no more. Another reason is that she request certain items and may do so randomly.

There really are price supports invoked by working programs run by TPTB of Subeta that make sure that certain items of certain rarity meet a minimum price. So those items may have no demand whatsoever on them but Maleria quests so the price support reaches it's minimum without much buffeting from other market forces.

i think it has to do with the fact that some quest granters have a maximum user price on their item pool, so if an item in their pool of potential things to ask for surpasses that price on the user shops, they will not ask for it. maleria's max is 30k, so many of the types of items she asks for will approach but not surpass 30k - or they might surpass it but only by a little, as it takes some time for user price estimates to match their actual values on the shop search.

I now feel bad admitting the second question was mostly a joke but the answers are very interesting.
