A trip that's been four months in the planning is in danger because it went the whole winter without snowing then the day and a half before I leave for South Carolina, it's supposed to dump snow.
I could scream. How does the saying go? "If you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans"?
Can it just... not snow...?
(Hey, check that out, most I've alluded to religion on here, lmao. Help.)

That stinks! I hate snow....
It's snowing like a bitch here right now and it's been doing so all day. I shoveled once before I left for work and I'll probably have to do it again when I get home. When I left home this afternoon, we had about 5 inches. And yeah, it's the most we've gotten all winter. It's pretty and all, but I detest driving in it, for all that it's not my own driving, but others, that I'm worried about. It's like everyone forgot all over again how to drive in the snow. And how do they not know, because it's fucking MICHIGAN!! I would understand if this were Texas or Florida, but it is decidedly not! UGH.
Okay, that turned into a rant. Uhhuh. Leaving now.
The weather is claiming to worsen overnight and parents are like, "It's gonna be canceled." But I keep seeing the totals go up then down and it's like... all winter, nothing... and you gotta bury my plans.
Idiot drivers though, man.

I used to get my hopes up every time there was so much as a single snowflake, when I was in school. I loved the work at school, the class, but most of the other students were assholes. Here's to hoping for a snow day for you tomorrow! Unless you didn't want one...but even then, the snow pretty much screws any other plans.
Love your HA and the art, btw. Did you draw it?
It's gonna screw up plans, I'm just waiting to see the extent of it.
I didn't, it's from Tumblr. I need to go back and get the credits, thank you for reminding me.

This reminds me of that sadly realistic comic online:

Given it dumped snow since my last post and I still gotta help dig out, yep, that's accurate.
I would take hail over this, tbph. Depending on the size.

Oh my gosh noooo I'm so sorry. I remember you mentioning a trip a while back. Was it the trip where you were going to visit some of your friends?
Fingers crossed that it won't cancel! Maybe at worse it'll just delay some or something. I'd take a delay over a cancellation even though delays suck just as much lol.
It is that trip.
So far, things are going in my favor despite there being over half a foot of snow on the ground right now. The hardest part is waiting for the snow plows but I called the people in charge of those and made them aware.
No delay or cancellation yet! Keep your fingers crossed! It's just making it a little hairy for getting the couple medicines I need today because I'm leaving before the pharmacy opens tomorrow.

Oh gosh. Why is life not fair lol. Are they calling for anymore bad weather?
BUT that is good to hear so far! Fingers are still crossed. Maybe things will end up going in your favor after all. Sounds like your flight is supposed to be sometime tonight/super early tomorrow?
Nope, thank God. Just some high winds and possible black ice.
12:30 PM tomorrow but I have to be there at least two hours before and I'm about an hour and a half away from the airport I'm leaving from.

Yay! Well high winds are kind of meh but at least there are no other precipitation factors holding it back.
I was about to be like "Oh getting there at 10:30 won't be too bad!" But I typically fly at the airport that is 20 minutes max away from me lol (let's be honest, with the exception of last year I haven't flown on a plane since I was like, 7.) Hopefully all goes well and Mother Nature can finally cut you some slack. Safe travels!
Except when there are travel plans in jeopardy, I actually like the snow.....especially if I can stay inside and see it through a window with a nice warm quilt wrapped around me.
Only wish it wouldn't fall on the roads.
I'd far rather drive in snow than have icy rain. We live in western Canada so gotta love the snow although this year there hasn't even been enough to skidoo/power toboggan. Had 5 inches of big wet heavy snow overnight last week and it totally melted during the day.
Hope you reach the airport with time to spare.
