Hello everyone! I have a new Word Shuffle for you to try this week.
For this game, you will be given a word. Your task is to create up to 10 words using the letters of the given word. The 10 words do not need to be the same length as the given word. They should be a minimum of 4 letters in length. The maximum would be however many letters are in the given word. You may only use each letter once, unless the letter appears more than once in the word (i.e. for the word Gryffindor, you may use F twice since it appears in the word twice, but only use I once since it appears in the word once).
For example: If the given word is Hogwarts, some of the words you could create would be: what, gash, worth, growth.
All answers should be sMailed to Bennet.
Each word that successfully uses the letters of the given word will be awarded 1 point each for a maximum of 10 House Points. However, for bonus points, if you fulfill the bonus requirements, you will earn an extra 5 points.
This week's word: DELUMINATOR
Bonus Requirements To earn 5 bonus points, you must create the following:
This challenge will end Sunday, March 12th at 11:59pm!
This one was so fun, the bonus points were a nice challenge but it was still not too hard :D I love word scrambles!!
Congrats on your first assignment :D Which house did you join?
For the bonus, can the word be longer than 6 letters... or does that not count as one of your "6 letter words" since it's longer.. >_< <3
Sent! I love word shuffles~
Wasn't sure if we can send in words with more than six letters as well...
I'll be awarding points later today. I've got a nice amount of sMails to look through. :)
Noticed you two already sent your answers. I'd still keep the 6 letter limit for the bonus or else it wouldn't be much of a challenge. c:
This ends tomorrow so don't forget to finish it!!!

Gryffindor +60 points Slytherin +55 points Ravenclaw + 95 points Hufflepuff +25 points
- just for future knowledge ... how do you earn 20 points?
I thought this puzzle was worth 10 points with a 5 point bonus? Just curious. :)
Good to know Appreciate you letting me know :)
thats cool that we can earn extra points for going above and beyond...maybe you might want to include that information in future assignments..? that way everyone knows that there might be additional points awarded (at your discretion, of course) so we all might have the opportunity to earn more points than is listed :)

This challenge is over! I'll be awarding points over the weekend.
I don't think it's really necessary to include that bonus points may be included. In classroom assignments bonus points may be given for students who surprise us with creative entries/taking initiative on things. I don't also want to set a precedent where people expect bonus points for turning in longer assignments or completing a challenge more than once (i.e. turning in more than one HA for a HA challenge). Overall anyone has a chance to earn bonus points in any challenge or assignment or even helping out when it's not expected. (I hope this all makes sense.)
