I have been helped ty. I'll be streaming on twitch sometime soon once the bewilderbeast inside me has settled =P

I am literally at my wit's end. I used to livestream a lot before livestream became pay to use. Then I tried Join.me and now that's also pay to use. I don't have 20+ dollars a month to throw away streaming when most months I don't even make that much back with commissions SO I need somewhere FREE.

I have tried Picarto numerous times but I cannot get OBS to run smoother than dog shit and I'm losing my MIND trying to get something to work.

Does anyone have knowledge with OBS or Xsplit (I haven't used it, but everywhere says the free version is crap? can anyone confirm or deny?) and can sit through assisting me with it? (preferrably over comments OR Skype if you have it) OR know a better program that's compatible with Picarto OR a place that just works better than Picarto??

I am willing to offer a reward if someone can help me get this working because I can't do it and I'm losing my fricking mind. I /really/ want to stream. I really enjoy it. But this part is killing my soul. Literally.

And I'm pinging my group in the /desperate hope/ one of you can help me.

I don't know anything about how those services work...but has been doing some streaming the past few days. Perhaps you can see what she is using? We don't want you to lose your precious mind. :)

I set-up my OBS a long time ago for both streaming and recording, but I never really got around to using it for the streaming bit.

I quickly vetted a video that seems to take you through to motions easily enough to begin streaming via OBS on Twitch.

I'll attempt to test this out as well to see if it work shortly!

Do you know if twitch works better than Picarto? I don't want to sign up for even more stuff if it's not going to work :X

I honestly don't know how the two would compare--I'm currently testing out the method in the video I linked...

There are an insane amount of people that use OBS on Twitch, and not just for lowkey art streams, but for high-end online MMO gameplay streaming.

If you don't mind giving me 10-20 minutes (I think I should be tech savvy enough to not break anything LOL), I should be able to tell you if you can at least start streaming without any weirdness happening.

I got it to work on twitch. I still cannot get picarto to work, so it looks like I'm going to be needing to work off twitch only. I do have to lower my bitrate a lot. Looks like the problem isn't my computer at all (whew) it's my internet connection is quite a bit shite so. it'll be a little slow (has about a 30 second delay I think) but otherwise at least it's not a 15 minute delay??? with 75% dropped files? (went down to 1% with some really heavy bitrate butchering on my part.)

Yay!! I have a Twitch server relatively "close" to where I live (ping 10ms), so my stream delay is about 10-15 seconds. If you manage to find any servers closer to you, the delay might improve a bit? My upload speed is >10000kbps...dad likes his internet fast LOL Twitch caps bit rate at 3500 anyways, so it's really not like I could go any higher xD

You just dropped some bomb knowledge on me! I didn't know what the 35ms meant! But that explains the 30ish second delay for the stream now! Ahhh thank you for that. You and the user mailing me atm really helped a lot, so I want to give you guys some csc for talking to me while I raged against the machine over here! Could you throw up a junk trade for me?

No problem~ Ping used to be my biggest annoyance while planing League, so I figured out what that bugger meant early on LOL Internet was the shitz back then. Sidenote, not sure if you're running on an Ethernet cable or using Wi-fi?

I have a cable. I just think my internet is really crappy. x'D It's better than the alternative tho. the other provider in our area cuts out once a week for hours on end so I'd rather have the slow but stable than the fast but spotty x'D
