This year's zombie skins were my favorite I've seen so far: original, proper unsettling, and easy to work with. I had no need for Caterkiller, but was able to get the other three and walk away with exactly everything I wanted.
Now I'm going to get to anticipating next year. Hmm, plant theme , maybe? Did you know that there are albino conifers that, being unable to get energy through sunlight the usual way, live parasitically on their parent trees?

The only thing I'm not happy with is the glaring lack of graveyard pets.
Usually we have a balance between graveyard and sweetheart releases, but this year was all sweetheart. Super disappointing if you're waiting for a particular graveyard pet revamp (-cough- archan -cough-, but there's buckets of old GY pets that need facelifts), or a new graveyard pet (noktoa, zasaba and zentu, among others). Reminds me of that one year when we had a slew of brand new harvest pets, but only one reborn revamp for Fireside. That kinda left a really bad taste in my mouth.
This year we had a whooping 3 sweetheart pets. Among a shitton of amazing new items and wearables. That's it. That's all. That's makin' me sad.
tl;dr - Love the skins, love the sweetheart pets, love the new items. But where's the zomber pets
The exchange price of Candy Hearts in sP in user shops went way up. Da-aaaang
I liked how more smoothly the event ran without the errors.I just wish there could've been makeup and more shoes in the Zombie Den.At least I got more hearts this time around unlike the last two years. And the diseases progressed like they were supposed to.I also would've liked to see more GY pets or more revamps of them.
Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

I protest, I was extremely disappointed with the new items this year. Very few wearables that caught my interest, next to no minions, and not even any interesting little trinkets. I can't remember an event where I put so few things on my wishlist
I didn't notice a lack of minions? L'amour Parlour had 5 minions in 2017, 3 in 2016, 5 in 2015, 6 in 2014, 3 in 2013. Zombie Den had 3 minions in 2017, 8 in 2016, 3 in 2015, 4 in 2014, 6 in 2013, 8 in 2012, 8 in 2011, 5 in 2010. It's always been scattered.
The minions were kind of lost on me this year thematically, but then again... :X Rather have graveyard pet revamps and releases than minions or wearables, butthat'sjustme.
Was their really that many? Well, that goes to show how uninterested I was in what I saw. The art's great, as usual, but for me nothing stood out as spectacular.
That's how many I counted, double-checked with Subetalodge. :x Last year was a bit better for minions, even theme-wise, but I guess there's always next year.
I think the only thing I got excited for were the kabobs. So I can throw more junk in to my cannibal pet's TC lol
I too missed the Pets. I don't need wearables so I usually just buy the collectibles and Minions.
I was glad that there were no errors/lag during the event (or if there were any, they were pretty minor)!
I really like strains that surprise me at the end, so I look forward to those every year. :)

I'm not fond of graveyard pets or anything gory but I was surprised to not see any. I thought there was a decent amount of items this year and there were quite a few that I wanted besides the plushies and beanbags. :) The new strains were neat and I love caterkiller! It's ridiculously adorable!
Loved the items, loved the strains. Love how my heart inventory is literally overflowing with excess hearts. Loved the site performance, love the achievements. Would've loved if we'd get an ability to randomly kiss.
Didn't like the unending wait, wondering when the event would begin. The road was a rough one; starting with an excited "maybe we'll get the event early" on 2/13, to worrying "oh no, are things broken behind the scenes and that's why it's late" on 2/15, and finally a dejected "well, I guess we'll get it eventually" on 2/16. <Insert retort about whining, spoiled, undeserving, etc> Just something to keep in mind for years in the future.
THIS! It would be great to spread the love to everybody on the site and not just those who post on the Survival forum :)
But yes, overall I really loved the event this year. I only wish it started a bit earlier to coincide more with the real life holiday (and consequently ended earlier as well)...personally, if Survival starts after Valentine's Day, I'm slightly less in the spirit of the event just because the rest of the world is over Valentine's at that point lol but of course, I still take delight in the event, regardless of when it actually winds up starting.
The new strains were some of the best, imo. Like every stage of the infections was just so well thought out. Big kudos! I seriously already can't wait to see what you come up with next year :D
My only pet peeve was the lack of graveyard type releases...I'm not that crazy about gore, guts, and stuff so it didn't bother me that much, but I always liked the balance between 'zombie' and 'lovey' during Survival, and I do feel like the zombies were underrepresented this time around...
