So, I'm kind of an infrequent Subeta-er these days, unfortunately, so I miss new things sometimes. I think I must have missed something new with Merana. I have a hydrus pet, I've completed the Omen Island map and all that, but I can't find her. I saw her randomly on the explore map the other day and thought that was kind of weird, but didn't really dwell on it. But I'm thinking that might actually mean something now. D:

Now I'm trying to make my new pet, Squaxin, a hydrus popoko and I can't find her anywhere. Is Merana a timed thing now, like only certain days, or times of day? Anyone know when she appears? Or is it just random?

merana is free now, no longer bound to the island. you will find her on the map randomly for 12-hour periods, which is when you can do her quest. here is the news post explaining everything.
