It's almost three months into the new year and I'm just wondering how everyone's doing ^^ with goals, resolutions, just things in general to make the year good!
Personally, I've been sticking with my weight loss and eating healthier resolution. I've lost a total of 12 pounds so far and have found a new love for cooking and learning how to cook new veggies :)! I've also been keeping up well with my schoolwork and am going to join the sailing club ^^! Woohoo!!

I'm trying to lose weight too, but it's so hard for so many reasons. I had to give up my gym membership because I can't afford it, I have allergies so many veggies/fruits I can't have, I have a major aversion to certain textures so I can't eat things like salad, etc. Then there's my depression which makes it doubly difficult to get off my fat ass and go out and do something, which makes me feel worse about myself, thereby causing more depression. It's a vicious circle. When I do go out on a walk, I love it (like I did today - 2 miles!!). I love being outside and now that winter's slowly going bye-bye, I can go out more. I don't need to be super skinny - I'd just like to be able to shop in the 'normal' part of the store, instead of the plus-size section. Ugh. Sorry this turned into a whine-fest.
I lost 30 pounds+ within the last four months without doing anything for it so this wasn't a resolution I needed. O.o
But great to hear it works for you
Good for you on your weight loss! And a sailing club sounds really cool. I've always loved sailing and ships, ever since I went on a trip in the ninth grade to live on a boat for five days -- it was so much fun.
I've just been trying to kind of take everything in stride and just enjoy day-to-day. I have a great job I really enjoy, and a super boss which is always helpful.
The beginning of the year was a bit rough for me (got into a car accident -- no one was hurt, thankfully! And I had to take one of the dog's I was looking after to the vet and he passed away...), but I find January is often not kind to me, haha! But I suppose it's just life's way of getting all the shit out first and then the rest of the year will be good.
Great topic and good on eating healthy! I'm focusing on my mental health by being conscious of my free time and what I do with it. Hope I get good results :p
I finally worked up the courage to sign up at a gym and have been going 5x a week since the beginning of this month, so that's one good thing! Another good thing is that I've been actively paying off my student loan debts and one of my loans only has about $600 more on it, so I'm so close!!
Financial goals - I plan on paying off the remaining of the student loan by the end of this year. When my tax returns come in, that would pay off a chunk. And I have a bigger money goal - moving, buying a place...is a lot of number crunching, and those numbers add up fast. I'll see how this year goes saving wise, job wise, and economy wise.
