Is there something that keeps me from getting frozen for three turns in a row and being annihilated?

is generally the best thing you can mod your weapons with to give you a chance of granting a six-turn blessing against being frozen. I tend to have two such crystals on a 3 or 4 slot moddable weapon.

Try these:

1. Intricate Energized Helmet 100% freeze and has a blessing that prevents freezing for 2 turns. Buyable with battle tokens (See Subetalodge.org on how to make one)

2. Parched Baugette Crystal Mods 10% chance to activate and give a 5 turn freeze protection blessing. You should have at least two if not four to ensure it stays around most of the time. Buyable with battle tokens. Dropped by Forj and Meatslab.

3. Freezing Scrolls Because if you can't beat them, join them. Shriek of Despair and Psycho Smasher scrolls are the most common.
