Hi all,

I'm planning on saving up to update my armory at T8, my pet is currently only T7 but I'm training steadily. I never really upgraded from my T6 set, so if it's useful for both T7 and T8 that is a plus.

Current stats: Level: 425 Health: 1063 / 1063 Strength: 1013 Defense: 1013 Speed: 1013 Intelligence: 1936

Current Set:

Scroll Set: x2

My available AP is 120, this set uses 46.

Like I said, I'm trying to save up while still training to T8, so cost is not the most important factor at this point. I would like to have a general set good for BQ and Tier 8 level challengers. Thank you!

Affordable options that I used when I was T8: 100% curse activation once your pet's speed reaches 1,300 and more. Curse does 10 icons and lasts 4 turns, and cannot be blocked by opponents

blocks a good range of icons and good against easy Meatslab in BQ. There is a chance of it not blocking anything at all, but it's still a good block that doesn't break easily leaving you vulnerable to enemy's attack.

Cheap solution to Scary Singer.

Cheap solution for Skeletal Warrior, can be paired with

Also affordable solution for Skeletal Warrior, Cursed Effigy the Tormented, and Scary Singer. It's not really a good weapon anymore once you move to T9-10 territory, but can give you an edge against Malerias Familiar once your defense hits 2,500.

has a small chance to freeze. I personally like using ice-based offensive weapons for lower-tier opponents because most of them are vulnerable to ice attack. Ice might not be so helpful against Skeletal Warrior, easy Meatslab and Scary Singer because of the gimmick in their defence but once you move to T10 you can still beat them up good with your eye blindfolded with ice-based weapons.

another cheap alternative against Scary Singer

Good against Cursed Effigy the Tormented, and a good affordable weapon overall if you need solid water-based attack. It's in my default set for some Extremely Hard challengers such as Mornrise Serpent and Gatekeeper. Its defense is rather erratic so you might want to pair it up with a fire-blocking scroll, such as the Perilous Whirlpool.

I swapped the Prodigy Staff out for this for opponents that block water.

Good OPB freezer that blocks light and water, hence good against Saggitarius and other water-based opponents such as Sandragon or Surge (BQ L21-25). It may prove helpful because it gives you the protection that the collar of slavery lacks, even for just one turn. Its attack deals 19 icons too.

Good ice-based attacker. Once you've got 4,000 speed or more it becomes a good water blocker with a decent 6% heal, which is good against Crawbeast.

Its attack is weak, but its defense is quite good, blocking 7 icons of 4 types and giving a 6% heal

For scrolls I suggest that you fill up your unused AP with cheap freezing or bomb scrolls, such as Perilous Whirlpools, Inferno/ Basalt Blast when your opponents are frozen. Fatal Fire is not too shabby either, but if you can just wait until you can get them from loot rather than buy them off shop, please do so as they're not frequently used in higher tiers.

I would also swap out one of the infinite healing scroll. You either need Divine or Terra Focujin, you don't really need both. My personal favourite is the Divine, but it's up to you to pick the one you find more helpful.

For specific opponents that needs large block of certain icon types, I suggest that you make a bunch of Decent wind block, good against Scary Singer or Wind based opponents, such as Tortyrant (CS challenger, not BQ) or Raging Storm Sylph (BQ L25, if you haven't got enough fund for a Trident)

Decent earth block, good against Terrafirma or Recycle Beast

Decent ice block, good against Ice King and Unstable Snow Fairy

Chance to freeze and a good fire block. Good against fire based opponents such as Resting Meatslab, Awakened Meatslab, Cursed Effigy the Tormented and Flamagia (BQ). Outside of BQs it's good against Cursed Effigy and the Forj. While you're waiting to earn, or saving up for more advanced freezing scrolls, such as Shriek of Despair or Psycho Smasher, these can make inexpensive but useful alternatives.

These scrolls are much, much cheaper made by buying ingredients than buying directly from user shops

If you can, I suggest saving up for these:

They're pricey but will prove helpful even in higher tiers, and you'll be using them a lot, so I'd say they'll make a worthwhile investment.

Just going to add a few more weapons since has a lot of them covered. Also, to expand a little more on sierrac flail from my own experience with it: I had no other water blockers so this made it possible to get wins on him when my speed was below 3k, but it was difficult. Expect to take some losses but it will get you the one win you need for battle quests. Once I hit 3k speed I was able to win consistently with it since the stats were a little better.

Cheap options for tier 8
- I like this weapon a lot. It has three mod slots, 7% heal and blocks light with the potential to block 60 light. Good to use against someone like saggitarius.

- blocks 10 each of earth and dark, also blocks 5 ice. It's a decent weapon and combined with the aftershocks scroll can block a nice bit of earth and dark, which are both common icons dealt by opponents.

- blocks 8 each of fire, earth and magma. It's a nice T8 weapon and scales with your pet's stats but it still easily becomes outclassed at higher tiers. It also offers no heal so you would even be better off using something like the prodigy staff if you want a fire blocker.

- this is a T7 weapon but it is a nice bomb to use if you want to do a lot of damage to your opponent. It's a cheap alternative to the acorn bomb and even activates a curse for I think 4 or 5 turns.

- cheap alternative to the charged tower shield (see below). It's good for the old school style of battling were you attack with one weapon and defend with another. Pair it with your divine denizhen scroll and you can block 7 - 9 of every icon.

expensive options

- by far my favorite weapon. Not only does it scale with your pet, but it becomes a super useful at T10 for water damage. As your stats get higher, the % activation chance of the curse or blessing also becomes greater. It has 4 mod slots and becomes even more powerful when modded with parched and singed baguettes since the water and magma icons stack.

- great defensive weapon. It blocks 10 each of light, physical, dark and fire. It also heals your pet for 5% and deals 21 - 25 light icons. It has three mod slots so you can pump even more into the attack or more into defense.

- strong attacker, blocks 8 - 11 dark and light icons, has 3 mod slots, and boosts strength and defense by 25 each time you use it. The price tag is ridiculously high in the antique shop ( I remember they used to sell for 60 mil max) so unless you can find it for a really good price I wouldn't buy it. It is super usefuly against saggitarius, but at near demi-god prices you are better off saving your sP for higher tiered weapons.

scrolls

Definitely worth making more sancturia exodin, cobalt eternal and perilous whirlpool scrolls. I would also upgrade your divine denizhen to the aftershocks scroll. Aftershocks blocks common icons, has 23 attack icons and heals your pet for 7%. As you go up on tier, opponents start to do less of an icon spread and more damage over a few icon types. The heal alone makes it worth it.
