So as I understand it, survival ends at the beginning of March. So what happens if I'm still progressing on an infection? I'm on stage 2 of Caterkiller but I would also like to get Carchari before the season ends. So, if I haven't reached the final stage of the second infection at the end of the event, will it still progress or do I lose it?

If you are infected when Survival ends, you'll keep progressing that virus until you're done and can redeem the skin, even if you're only stage 1 when it ends.

If you're in the queue to be infected but aren't infected yet when Survival ends, you won't get that infection. I take it back, others have proof below that if you're signed up in time, it will still proceed!

Hope that helps! It can take planning and luck, but I've managed three infections every year. :) You should have time for Carchari!

I've gotten 4 infections each year so far. I started with a brand new virus this year so I'm not sure I can manage 4 again but it seemed to get added to the wardrobe pretty quickly so I'm hoping I can snag 4 again this year. (If you're only on your first infection you won't make 4 but you can definitely do 2 with no problem)

As long as you sign up for the last virus before the event ends, the virus will progress, even without any bites.

You’ll progress like normal as long as you chose to get infected before the holiday ends. 😄 Since you signed up for it before 11:59pm, you’ll get Lobster face! It will just take a bit (because old viruses are slow working) Source

Thanks all. That makes sense!
So, bites speed things up, but I don't need them, right? I just sign up for Carchari once Caterkiller finishes?

The bites help you to get infected faster but one you've been infected it'll progress at the same rate whether you were bitten or not. But yes you'll have no problem getting Carchari c:

Definitely get bites if you can, otherwise it takes up to three days for the first stage of infection to appear :/
