Not sure this is the right forum. Anyways, I was thinking of getting a forum signature or forumtext. I started looking at gifs on google images. There are some I like of my favorite character..here's the thing though...I don't know if I can use them? copyright laws and all that. Some are from pinterest and tumblr...I would think that would be alright since their not art..its just a tv show character.

If it's on pinterest and tumblr then you can probably use them. I mean, the random people posting them on tumblr probably didn't get any copyright stuff for it either. Basically, if it's an image that's been shared widely, and of tv show characters, then it's fine to use.

These gifs are nearly 100% created by fans anyway, and mostly impossible to track the origin.

As long as you're not saying "I MADE THIS" when you didn't, I don't see how you would get into any trouble.
