Anyone know what the item does, or if its just a food item? It only gives the option to feed

Yeah, its just food. Though my gourmand will enjoy it and I don't have to worry about trying to battle with a lesser pet to try to get an item that has multiple uses.
Sometimes you get really nice items for easy battles, other times you fight hard and get...not much.
