I really like dogs, I have two of my own, and one that lives with my mom still! my personal two are a pomeranian (Khonsu) and a husky (Kiva)
I also have a cat that i love dearly and my cat LOVES my dogs. they cuddle and head butt each other whenever they can haha
OMG do I detect a KHII reference in that image? <3!!!!!
My partner LOVES dogs. Omg. He's always taking pictures of dogs that he sees.
If you're on Facebook, you should join "Dogspotting". It has rules and everything. Can't be your own dog, can't be in a place where dogs are anticipated (like a pet store, dog park, vet, etc) and they DO have a separate group for your own dogs and stuff called "Dogspotting Society". I love having my Facebook feed spammed with dog pictures. So friggen cute!
I love dogs! I currently don't own one but we used to have a black poodle and she was just smart and sweet and perfect. <3
I've never had a dog of my own before, but it's on my bucket list. I don't really have the time or the money to keep a dog right now, but someday I'd like to adopt one from a rescue home. I just love animals in general, but I think I first became obsessed with dogs when I was about five. Guess it was just one of those things I would never grow out of. XD
Cleared by staff - maximum height is 325px.
YES. I have four rescue dogs: a Siberian husky/rough collie mix, a miniature pinscher/terrier mix, a beagle and a longhair chihuahua. Plus I have an "extended doggy family" that includes my mom's two chihuahuas and my dad's two dogs (a pomeranian/pekingese mix and a brussels griffon/terrier mix). I often go hiking with friends who bring their dogs. Just yesterday we did a group hike with 8 people and 9 dogs. Dogs outnumbered the people, haha. My world kinda revolves around my pupsters so yeah, I'd say I love dogs. XD
I'm still working towards liking dogs again. In 2012 I was mauled by a neighbor's dog I was looking after. He went straight for my face, and well I blacked out. The next thing I could recall was being in my house, my hand over my face. My brother was home and took me to the hospital.
So nowadays I just ignore any canine that approaches me, friendly or not.
dogs r so good we don't deserve them
i really really want a pitbull,
I FRIGGIN LOVE DOGS
We have five dogs currently: Two huskies, (one of them is mine) a huskie/malamute mix, a pitbull mix, and some small dachshund mix monstrosity that no one seems to know is made of.
My dad also owns a purebred dachshund and she's the sweetest and softest little dog I've ever met.
I used to be a groomer. I had to stop because it was making me hate dogs. And I never want That to happen. I have 6 dogs actually atm, I foster dogs. Dogs are just better than people I'd say
Dogs are one of the things that make life worth living, in my opinion. I'm a huge fan of pretty much all animals (except monkeys... They need to just cut that shit out, you know what I mean? Creepy little things) but there will always be a particular soft spot in my heart for all dogs. I have a set of "dream dogs" I'd like to get from rescues with my husband someday... And of course any other sweet pups who need a home that wander into my life, not just my ideal breeds. I'm a firm believer that every single dog is worth saving.
omg this post made my night because there are other people who seem to love dogs as much as i do. i have one dog currently named bear, and he is literally the apple of my eye. i had a dog before him, which was my childhood pet; she passed away years ago due to old age, unfortunately but bound to happen. when i got bear he literally acted like coco (my childhood dog) and i truly believe in animal reincarnation.
I miss having a dog so bad! My roommate and her boyfriend recently adopted a dog, which is lab/retriever/terrier mix and she is the sweetest thing in the world! I've had such puppy fever lately, that I've been extremely tempted to go out and get one, but it's not the best idea right now. My favorite breeds are huskies, alaskan malamutes, bull terriers, french bulldogs and boston terriers, but I love all dogs <3
I'm a dog walker, so I kind of have to like them, haha! I've never owned a dog myself (I actually prefer cats), but I've worked with dogs professionally for three years and have dealt with just about every breed, and behavior and quirk a dog could possibly have. It's fun though, I like being outdoors and it's a good way for me to get out an exercise.
I love dogs as well! I own four right now (a very old Beagle, a Great Dane, a Terrier mix and a Neapolitan Mastiff), although when I get to live by myself I don't want to have more than 2 (I've own many dogs in the past so just more would exhaust me even more lD) My favorite breeds are Beagle, Akita, Alaskan Malamute and Pug :D
Definitely a dog lover. When I'm with my friends and I see a dog, I'm gone....even when they're in the back of someone's truck. I check with the owner and then I'm petting them.
Anyone who sees it thinks I don't have my own but my family has three rescues at the moment. My special one is a malamute cross that was seriously injured Dec 20, 2016 .... still don't know how as we live in the country and he was outside with the others. They are fine but he had a 4 by 5 inch hole between his shoulders. Mom could see his backbone. It was gruesome but he made it to the emergency vets (an hour away) and then to the specialty vets (two hours from there). Other than a wierd haircut that looks like a saddle he has recovered perfectly and his hair is growing back. He can run like crazy again. No broken bones, all vital organs were fine....an extremely dirty wound....but fabulous vets in Alberta. He is the 'smart' dog and never gets in trouble unlike our Great Pyrenees who will not leave the porcupines alone or our terrier shepherd cross who is far too interested in cats.
Mom found my malamute by the side of the road...she tracked down his owners who said he roamed and were considering shooting him....Mom gave them our number and said to call if they were going to do that......within a week they called and we got him. He is adorable. Only wandered once when he first arrived (I think he got lost) and now he's always with our other dogs. He is so sweet with the cats. Absolutely a love!!!!
Should have had pet insurance for him but ...... thankfully Mom figured out payments for his surgeries but not everyone is that lucky.
I agree with the above posters.......dogs are just better and deserve to be saved.
I absolutely love my pups. We have 2 Pitties and 1 Jack Russel Terrier.
My mom brought home Xena (pitbull) from Wal-Mart one day. An elderly couple had found her on the side of the road and brought her up to be given away. She was probably 4 weeks old at the time and she is just the sweetest little thing ever.
Luna (Jack Russel) was from a shelter. When we got her she was super malnourished, skittish, and come to find out, deaf. The shelter didn't tell us any of this but when we found out we knew she came into our lives for a reason.
And then of course we have Darcie (other pittie) she was actually my MIL and FIL's dog but they didn't want her anymore so we took her in.
Dogs hold a special place in my heart.
