I feel like i'm being punished with my choice on top of a already bad night with ignored issues on non subeta related things. I had a plan on grabing Heartburn for my first strain this year ( to add to the number of those with the strain)before trying a 2016 strain as I missed out on them last year and then a random strain I lack ( perferably a 2017). I finished off all the 6 stage strains last year so I knew I would be only able to get 3 this year IF I started soon.

Well I have had two topics burried with no responce or bites, today has already ended with no progress. I have had two old strains progress naturaly before ( Bakers Kiss and Bindi Bite) with little to no bites and they took 3 DAYS to hit stage 1 and now I fear I'm due for a repeat of that. Making it worce this is my FIRST strain this year, the others were my second and I started with a stage 6 strain so I was still able to meet my goal those years. Adding to it Surv started later this year and is probably due to end at the expected time in spite of it. I know the strain is rare but I expected starting early would lessen the problem as it did with Eyesore last year....but I fear the breaf biting delay or just less heartburners on has doomed me to waiting 3 days at lest and switching strains now won't make up for lost time. Over all I feel the biggest thing I waited for out of this holiday is ruined this year for me as of now....

Sorry to hear that. :( I feel like a lot of people want to try to get the newer strains first and have them progress before going and biting people with their older strains. At least that is what I have tended to do. I hope you will have enough time to get all the strains you want! Good luck. :)

Heartburn seems to be incredibly unpopular in general so it's difficult to find people that are willed to bite. With the popular strains there should be no issue, I guess it took me not even half an hour until my Butterfly Bruise started to progress last year. x:

I managed to get Eyesore last year by asking for the strain on the first day. Not exactly sure if it's a "rare" strain such as Bakers Kiss, Bindi Bite, or other hard to find ones but it gave me the idea that asking for rarer strains on the first day had better results then asking for them later in the holiday. Either those few with it lacked the patience to wait while biting was fixed and just jumped into the new strains or my theory is busted.

I hope at lest I progress soon....there's been two that said they would help once they finish the new strains but it would be kinda silly to still be waiting if the new ones have 8 stages. I'd barely have time for ANY strain besides heartburn at that point and to be waiting 5-8 days for it to progress would be silly. 3 is already a headache especally when friends are already celebrating getting their first strain and later stages and they picked a older one ( had to close SB because that was becoming painful today, I'm glad you guys are getting your strains if you see this but I can't express it easly right now) but experence taught me already that 3 is a typical limit of how long I can wait and it's within reason. However 5+ is my limit of what I would consider okey for a once a year thing and would probably question why that was allowed to stick on older strains.

Yeah, the 3 days period is really a long time and takes a good portion of fun away when you are trying to get one of the more rare strains. I can understand that they want people to interact with each other but in case of strains like Heartburn or Faceworms this good intention just backfires imo...

Have you reached Stage 1 by now or are you still in waiting line?

The new strains only take 2 hours (approximately) to start progressing naturally so I'm not sure why exactly the previous strains take so long? I get that they go faster if you have bites but I think 24 hours is more than plenty. If you can't find people to bite you in 24 hours you're probably not going to find them after 48 or longer either.

Still in the waiting line unfortunately. -is on day 3 of waiting roughly- I've decided despite me possibly not getting as many strains this year as a risk, to stick with the waiting game unless I'm still waiting by the last day ( will then opt for a insta new virus instead). Chances are I'll still be facing this problem the next year and the year after that with this strain.

I heard on the faq last night that we can apparently bite with a older skin while waiting on a strain now but I'm waiting until I know for sure it won't mess with the timer if I've not hit stage 1 yet. It would be one way at lest to get some fun back by helping others -has certain other rare or uncommon strains like Faceworms, Angler, and Bakers already that I know people are waiting for now-

Edit: I now at last have Heartburn and am trying to at lest lessen the woes of others by biting them with older skins while I progress ( Saved one person from waiting out the timer on Faceworms today)
