30 minutes pass

My sammich arrives. I take a bite. It's EXACTLY the way I wanted it. I open the bottle of Joia - something I'd never tried before - a sparkling grapefruit, chamomille, cardamom mix. cue tastebud explosion GOD IT'S LIKE MOUTH HEAVEN! munches chips and sammich and drinks soda Dessert time! I take out my chocolate chip cookie and take a bite. JESUS H MOTHER OF HOLY CRAP. I can taste the vanilla and the cocoa and it's basically the BEST COOKIE I'VE EVER HAD.

Seriously, was it the excitement over not having to leave work and still eat Panera for dinner? Or the fact that I was pretty damn hungry? Or the excitement over Survival about to start? Or maybe residual caffeine from the bhakti chai I had earlier? I DON'T BLOODY KNOW BUT THIS MEAL WAS SO AMAZING I FEEL TRANSFORMED INTO A BETTER PERSON.

Panera delivers??? Oh my god, I know what I might be eating at work now. lol

Best meal? Asian noodles with chicken, a gyros salad and fried ananas with honey from my favorite Asian restaurant. Cheap, monstrous portion I can live off for two days and so tasty~

Wait hold the phone. Since when did Panera deliver?? Does every Panera deliver or only certain locations or...

But anyway. I adore my dad's cajun chicken pasta. I prefer his over any restaurant's I've tried.

Restaurant-wise, it's definitely the Flo's Fillet at Longhorns. I went there for the first time last month with my fiance to celebrate our anniversary and oh my gosh was it delicious. I also got their mashed potatoes and they have an insane macaroni and cheese. I forget if the one we got was anything special or just their regular mac and cheese but WOW. The bad thing was the price. It was sooo expensive (because of the Flo's Fillet and we both got the same thing) I'm pretty sure the bill was around $70ish LOL. Though truthfully we've never gotten an expensive meal item at a restaurant before but it was totally worth it since we only hit up fast-food restaurants when we eat out.

What sandwich was it?

Joia is sold here in Ontario at our Bulk Barn locations. The grapefruit was my absolute favourite! I could seriously go for a bottle right now, but I know the sugar content is high. Hell, I was still drinking those not knowing I was diabetic lol

I made a black bean soup with my significant other that I'm pretty sure was the best meal I ever had, especially with the Jalapeno bread we had it with.

I made a successful Chicken Alfredo tonight, but I'm eating alone. Everybody didn't want to wait.

Either these incredible fish tacos I get from a local mariscos truck at work on fridays when they come to my other office for the farmers market, the chicken salads from a local fast Greek food place, or.... this local chicken and waffles restaurant that closed a few years ago... I have heard reports that it is better than Roscoe's... But it will change yo' life.

Otherwise, probably grandma's lasagna or generally anything she makes that includes that incredible pasta sauce she makes. Hot dayum.

OH! Or a bread bowl of clam chowder from Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach. Hi. I'm a Californian. ;D
