So you know what people think of when they think of white trash, right? Broken down cars and trash in front yard? Check. Tons of kids in tiny, run-down house? Check. Drug deals going on all hours of the night? Check. They check all the usual things and more. And you've all probably seen me bitch and moan about these people before. I don't even know if I want advice about them, I'm just sick and tired again and need to vent.

Now don't get me wrong, I understand they're poor and that sucks, but we're all poor in this neighborhood. That doesn't mean we can't clean up our yards and at least make things look decent. But they leave trash all over their yard and they have not one, but two nasty-looking, broken-down, shit vehicles parked out front, neither of which runs or goes anywhere, seeing as how they're both missing wheels (which is against the rules here). They have all kinds of god-knows-what stacked up around their shed that looks like part broken furniture, part car parts, part gardening equipement (which...they never garden so who knows).

In this house, there are I don't even know anymore how many people. There's the mother, the dad once in a while, at least 5 kids, a son who lives somewhere else (I think) who is the biggest troublemaker (he's in his early 20s I think). They also have three pit bulls (which I have nothing against, but they're banned here and we're only allowed two dogs/cats per house anyways) and three cats, maybe more by now because they don't get them fixed.

I don't think any of them work, at least my parents (who are home most of the day) say the vehicles that do work never leave. My other neighbor has said the mother told her they subsist on welfare and she doesn't want to get a job because she likes the free money.

I've never heard such loud swearing in a family neighborhood either. It offends me and I swear a whole lot myself, lol. But not outside where the neighbors, and their children, can hear me. That's just crass. And they're always screaming at each other and fighting. They're just loud in general.

Then there's the drug deals. The oldest son (and maybe some of the others) have this old Chevy Blazer that sits in their driveway. They run it day and night, off and on. You can hear the loud music coming from it all the time. This vehicle (or near it) is where the drug deals take place. And god forbid you walk by the place - it reeks of pot. I don't know if they're doing more than pot. I don't even know if that's legal in Michigan, since I don't care to do it myself. And don't get me wrong - if you're a grown-ass adult and want to smoke pot, go for it. But I've seen underage kids over there and you can tell when there's a drug deal going down - a shit car will drive up, teenagers will get out, neighbor gets out of the car, they stand real close together, and some little baggie or envelope is exchanged. It's pretty damn obvious. And that fucking engine runs all hours, 2AM, 3AM, etc. It's right by my neighbors' kids' bedroom window, I can hear it from my own window, and it keeps us all up, no matter that some of us have to get up early for work/school.

Now, the problem is, myself, my parents, and multiple neighbors have complained to management about all of this. And what does management do? Jack shit. The problems have been going on longer than I've lived here, so at least 3 years. The manager's all 'Oh, I'll look into it.' but she's a giant wuss and never does anything. I know they have kids and the kids need a roof over their heads, but they need to abide by the rules. They won't evict them because of the kids. How does that work anyway?! Social services comes over and they don't do anything.

So I don't know what I'm going to do now. Talking to management, I may as well be talking to a brick wall. We live in a township, so I guess I'm going to be calling the state police, the non-emergency line, and ask them what can be done. I don't have any faith that they'll do anything though. My mom wants to get all the neighbors together to go over and talk to them, but I'm afraid they'll retaliate against us. It's to the point where I'd like to set up a security camera hidden by the front of our house where it can see theirs, just to keep an eye on them.

It's just so damn frustrating.

Ugh, I'm sorry your neighbours are terrible. :( There's plenty of trash like that in my city... whole neighbourhoods that are run-down and depressing full of people who have a bunch of kids they don't take care of and never work because they don't want to. As someone who is having health problems and wants to work but has been off work for two weeks and might be able to go back on Monday (but that's a big "if"), it bothers the hell out of me. I 100% understand when people can't get a job (or can't get a job that pays well enough) because my city doesn't have many good job opportunities. I 100% understand when people can't work. I don't have a problem with people not working but I DO have a problem with people who can work but don't because they just want to collect money from the government and sit around in their trash heap of a townhouse smoking, drinking and having kids. I'm not blaming just the women who do this but the men as well of course.

Tbh there's so much trash in my city it's depressing. There's a lot of people who dropped out of school and sit in a trash-filled townhouse doing nothing with their lives. I feel bad when it's because they were raised poorly and they're depressed but it's still frustrating and none of them act like decent people. They're always walking around town screaming their drama at their exes, harassing bystanders at the bus terminal, etc. They also wander around drunk and breaking stuff on people's property. They steal from all the stores around here and they blame the police and others for their problems.

At some point I just don't have any fucking sympathy. They're trash, they'll never amount to anything and they do nothing but be assholes to everyone around them. They're awful and unfortunately they're the ones who most often have kids they can't afford and their kids end up the same way.

I also had to live next to a trashy family for years when I was a kid. My family lived in a semi-detached so we shared a wall with them and they were terrible and noisy screaming and pounding at all hours of the day and night. Their dog would start howling and barking as well and they used to leave her for hours on end until my parents ended up calling animal control or whatever because she'd been alone and barked for 8+ hours straight. Also one of the family members that used to live there killed their cat's kittens and ended up murdering a teenager. Not at the house next door but at the teenager's family's house. I don't know if they did drugs but the family was terrible to each other.

Sorry for ranting but I have a lot of feelings when it comes to people like this and I got carried away.

I got very trashy people living on both sides of me I mean........ they are just so loud to the point I cannot focus and I am not being a grump either its like they don't have any respect for anybody, they blast their music and leave trash all over the steps. There use to be this guy he would leave his tv on but it would be on a static channel and he would have it blasting with his door open anyways come to find out he was a drug dealer and he had a meth lab in his apartment! he could of blown us all up or something -_- I mean I feel bad for whoever lives there but then recently I seen them and they look pretty out there also....... I don't know why I keep getting stuck next to weirdos. I also get annoyed because they got so many cars parked everywhere I mean some people try and park in my parking spot then if I leave a note they get mad and they throw trash in my parking spot. I hope they all get evicted I mean I hope the few good people get so mad they report them lol.
