I mean, they exist everywhere, the community probably makes it harder to find because they cover it up more ^^ definitely check out gay bars, lgbtq meetups, dating websites that could be based on location(i recommend okcupid).

MMOs. Not kidding. Met my girlfriend through WoW several years ago and our entire guild was 90% lesbian/bi chicks. It's not the same as face to face interactions with fellow homos, but it really salves the isolation. Sources cited: I'm hella gay and live in AK which is also a Trump-n-Guns snowy hellscape.

Tried dating websites? Any type of LGBTQ+ forums? Even Subeta can be a place but it's not the purpose of the website itself. I think it plays down to how comfy you are with certain things. Per instance, trying to reach out while doing something that you enjoy. I guess I'd say that it's the best way.

As for approaching them ... They are human, just like everyone else haha.
