People keep nominating the pets that I'm quite clearly using to work on profile commissions for other people. It's pretty clear that I'm working on them right? Like, there's no story, just nonsense filler text and the pet name is not the same as the pet. I need to have the 'spotlight ready' button checked to see how it loooks whimper

Just take the nominate button off? You can add it back when your profiles are ready to put together o.o

Way back when the spotlight was introduced I hid the nominate link on my profiles because I don't want to see any of them on the News page. Did that help? No. What did happen? Suddenly it was my day and for 24 hours I felt exposed, naked and embarrassed. The character who won I killed off short after because I just couldn't look at it anymore even though he was one of my favorites before. The Pet/ID itself I decided to keep because he's one my my oldest, original pets but the trophy is hidden and I'm doing my best to forget about it.

I know, just complaining ^^'

That's super annoying. I have no idea why anyone would do that except to annoy you on purpose, tbh I feel like if someone keeps nominating your pets that are obviously not spotlight-ready they should be reprimanded because that's abusing a site feature maliciously imo.

With that said, when your pet gets nominated does it give you an option to cancel it? Cuz if not that definitely needs to be a thing

You can decide now if you want your Pets to be able to get nominated or not. I have the option turned off for all of my Pets for example but you can also decide individually.

Yeah, if you go to the spotlight thing and just switch from not ready back again it cancels the nomination. It's not super inconvenient, just a bit irritating

Oh I totally understand this! It happens to me too, but maybe people just accidentally clicked it? At least that's my hope because it makes no sense otherwise.
