Hello everyone! By this point you have probably seen this thread. In response to that thread, and I have worked out a plan that we think will help you all in the future :)
Effective immediately, you MAY submit an item as direct-to-shop (DTS) if you are unable to fill a batch as long as you adhere to the following guidelines:
This must be clearly stated ON EVERY ITEM that you intend to do this with. No blanket statements will be allowed. Okay: "1 batch total OR DTS if unable to fill a complete batch" Not okay: "Any item may be sent DTS if I am unable to fill a batch"
This must be clearly stated immediately when you open up slots. You cannot add/edit it in later. If you are honestly NOT SURE how many batches something will be, say Batches TBD.
You must stick with your publicly stated batch numbers if they fill. For example: You post a new item and say "2 batches total OR DTS if first batch is unable to fill" This means you cannot fill batch one and then submit it to the queue as DTS. If you filled the first batch, you must submit it as two batches. You can then add the second batch to your shop if you desire.
Play nice and play fair. Do not say something absurd like "10 batches or DTS if they will not fill." Let's not take this new idea for advantage.
Any abuse of this system will absolutely not be tolerated If you state an item will be a certain number of batches and end up releasing it DTS as a way to get around your own imposed batch limit, you will both receive an official warning for scamming and be banned from submitting any custom wearables for 6 months. Unfortunately we MUST impose a harsh penalty for this to help deter those that would use the system to their advantage.
Please note that this in no way affects other rules about batch limits and scamming. If you say something will be 1 batch, you cannot make it two batches later. If you say something will be 5 batches, you cannot submit it as unlimited. We are trusting that you guys will not abuse this system! If we do see a large amount of abuse from this, we reserve the right to revoke this rule change at any time.
NOTE: If you have done this in the past, still submit a ticket if you haven't already (per the discussion thread linked at the beginning). I'm still noting individual accounts because this wasn't always clearly stated by submitters before, and in the case that this has to be revoked later. Also, I just really appreciate your honesty overall :)
Feel free to continue discussion here at this time! I'm going to tentatively sticky this thread, but soon (I hope) I will be reworking the rules in general and have a master post rather than a bunch of random stickies.
Pinging as promised :) (announcement post will be up soon, too!)
Thank you so much for the updates/updates-in-progress
Yay, thank you for the lovely update and clear information n_n Also thank you for your hard work clearing the queue earlier hehe.
Thank you Jessi! This is such a helpful change for anyone that's ever had trouble filling a batch, and of course encouraging sellers to be super transparent can only be a good thing. :>
My only question is if we say:
2 batches or DTS if 1st batch doesn't fill, are we allowed to put the 19 copies in our shop? Or do we need to just send invite for those that slotted
OMG all my problems are solved now. Thanks!
I'd still love half batches in the future, but for now I'm very happy with this!
Thank you and for sorting this out! This helps a lot, truly. Thank you! :)
ugh this is rly good, i just wanna take a sec and say that i really really appreciate how much you guys listen to users in general about what works and what doesn't. imo that's what really makes subeta such a great site to play on ;w;7
yay!! thank you for the update and all the hard work ;w;

^^^^^ It is amazing how Jessi (all the staff really) is always listening and trying to help out when a problem arises!
Staff really has been doing a lot to enhance the CW feature and make it better for everyone. It's amazing to see them work so hard and listen to everyone's opinions.
this seems to be a great compromise that really took in people's opinions on the other thread as well as drawing the line on where the stance for this is thank you and for continuing your hard work and being so open to listening to the users.
@ Jessi Can you clarify something? Let's say one item doesn't fill first batch, when we submit it to the shop how many copies are we allowed to sell? Should we lock the item and just send invites to those who slotted on the board and then retire it, or should we only make 9 copies vailable so that it's like having one batch OR can we keep it unlimited in our shop?
- I THINK you two essentially had the same question. If you say it's going to be DTS if it doesn't fill, you can put it in your shop for however many copies you want at that point -- but my recommendation would be to purposely ONLY put as many as you would have in the first place, just to keep people happy and be overall fair :)
(and I might be slow the rest of tonight, guys! I'm sure it goes without saying, but I'm exhausted after answering 30+ tickets and accepting 60+ CWs and making these boards, haha! ❤️ Thank you SO MUCH, all, for your understanding and feedback over the past two days! It means a lot)
I've never even submitted anything to the shop directly, lol, but I wanted to be sure I got it right just in case, don't wanna risk getting banned/frozen for not understanding hte rules xD Thank you so much for all your efforts, you should definetely take a break, poor thing D=
