Has anyone here had the NovaSure procedure done? I was looking online for reviews, but it would be nice to have some more personal accounts instead of just reading horror stories on random websites. It seems for every person who's had it done and it's gone well and they're happy with it, there's two more people with stories of horrible pain and awfulness. I'm afraid to get it, honestly. It sounds horrible. But I'm running out of options for my heavy bleeding/awful cramps. I'm positive I don't want children, so that's a non-issue for me. I just want to be done with 3-week-long periods that are so awful I can barely function.

Right now, my gyn has me going off my pill for a week to see if things re-regulate, but if they don't, this will probably be my next option. I'm wondering if I should ask for a tubal ligation at the same time though. I want to be sterile too, so that I don't have to take pills/get shots/etc. I'm just wondering how having that procedure as well would affect the pain/recovery time.

So, if you've had NovaSure or a Tubal Ligation or both, please let me know how it went?
